Creekfoot looked at his son and back at Brightshine, "You'd better go."

Spiritstar sighed and plopped down in her nest, not feeling happy one bit

Hawkeye shrugged, "Nothing much since Doveflight returned, you?"

Cinderclaw avoided her sister's den, and padded into the medicine cat den, sitting down and grabbing some extra moss, and padding to a small creak downwind of camp and washing the blood she spotted off herself, wrapping it around her neck, ears perked.

Moonglow licked her ear. "Where have you been?"

"Can you lead a border patrol? Take anyone," Brightshine replied.

Frozenpaw nodded. "Same. Well, aside from Doveflight, I guess my mom's not coming back." She gave an awkward laugh, feeling foolish.

"You can join Montfrost's," Brightshine replied. "Pinetail's leading a hunting patrol, if you'd rather go with him."

Jaypaw ran over to Brightshine and tackled him."Congrats daddy!"

Creekfoot nodded, "Of cou-" He was cut off as he saw his mate limp over to the medicine cat's den and with a gasp, darted after, "Pinetail with me!" He ordered

Cherrypaw ran up from behind Jaypaw, "Yea!" He giggled, "Though I already congratulated you... can we go on patrol?" He added

Hawkeye rested his tail on Frozenpaw's shoulder and comforted, "Don't think like that... Mintfrost and I are always here for you if you need us."

Spiritstar let out a long, deep sigh, "Nowhere," she muttered blankly
