"Well, we'll see what will happen soon enough." The dark mare snorted, looking to Natsu. Ezra would be chasing him out any second now, and the colt didn't seem too happy. He'd probably try to stick around the herd for a few days, or at least stay in the area. Once he finds some other males to be with, Dream knew that she probably wouldn't be seeing Natsu for awhile.

Akuma bit down hard on Cusick's neck, equally determined and doing his best to endure the pain. He wasn't going to let to, not until he managed to get out of Cusick's grip. He stood, keeping a firm grip on Cusick's neck and he would occasionally try to strike out with a hoof, but due to the position he and Cusick were in, landing a good hit wasn't really something he could do that moment.

Riku was quiet, mostly paying attention to their surroundings, but he focused on Winter when he noticed that she seemed to be having a bit of a hard time. She seemed uncomfortable and she was already panting while Riku was fine, and while they were some distance away the herd was still in sight. When Winter slowed the stallion frowned and halted by her side, normally he would have pushed her forward but seeing the state she was in, he allowed them to stop so that Winter could catch her breath. He wanted to keep moving, get far, far away from the herd but a small part of Riku was telling them that maybe they should stop for a bit as it looked like Winter could use it. She began to move again and Riku trailed behind him, staying quiet for several moments before finally speaking up. "We can stop and rest for a bit if you want to."

The dark mare gave Eagle a gentle nudge back and she turned her head slightly to look back. Eagle was walking away, but Dream did not try to stop her. The other mare was pregnant, and Dream assumed that she would be leaving to foal. Letting out a soft snort, she looked around. She would of course wait for Eagle to return, but she was thinking that the herd should change locations later.

Mariah knew that something was wrong. They weren't heading off fast enough. And she had about one guess as to why, considering that Ciqala had just left to give birth. Mariah was slightly nervy and uncomfortable, standing alone out here wasn't easy and she wanted to move the herd closer towards Akuma and further from Riku. But with a newborn in tow she wasn't sure if that'd be a good idea. Besides, with those babies coming, that meant hers should be arriving soon. But the baby was strangely placid and that worried her more than if it had been very active. But even the welfare of her foal was a bit low on her priorities right now as she tried to figure out the best way to handle this all.
Ok, well step one was to basically just wait; wait for Ciqala and maybe Akuma. The lead wanted to move though, to take action and to take charge, so she allowed herself to wander in Akuma's direction for a bit. Ah, but there was the invisible boundary, she had to be within sight and hearing of Ciqala, there was no way she was leaving the other mare behind.

Now this, this was not alright. The young stallion's self-satisfied smirk slowly slid off his face as his mare called out to another stallion. What in the world was the train of thought here? The exhalation and pride of gaining his first mare in the wild was shipped away and replaced with something much different. Anger bubbled up, what was with the wilds? No sense of loyalty, no honor. Nothing was right, everything was upside down and inside out. Cain had fought for this freedom, yes, but being with people was just easier.
His irritation with this place was culminating and it wasn't going to end up pretty. And as worse came to worse, it was those closest to him, literally, that got the brunt of this misplaced anger. To care for such petty creatures as mares... Ugh, it strained him. It was easier to just give in to those primal desires, even if that decision could be considered a mistake.
Cain's ears suddenly snapped back against his neck and his lips peeled back from his teeth. His neck extended quickly as he went to snap down on Angel's swishing tail, trying to snatch up the main body of it yet avoid her tail bone. Completely ignoring her foal for now, he pulled on her tail, working on bringing the two of them closer together. If she wanted to see what he would do for her, well he was certainly willing to demonstrate. The only issue was, he couldn't stay here, she'd sent out a call and who knew who would answer her.
"So glad that you could join me, now please, would you mind keeping it that way?" The paint stallion growled as he slid his head onto her rump, teeth still bared and ears still pinned.

Sara snorted as he mentioned captivity briefly. What in the world was that like? Cooped up, no where to run, forced to do as someone else wished... Heck, now that she thought about it the whole thing sounded familiar. A human herd basically. Despite the fact she did not really even like the stallion, as he went about his explantation, she found ways to continue to be drawn into the conversation. "Well, yeah it does, but you're not the same. And if your argument is that you almost are, then do you just share mares? Is it up in the air who fathers our foals?" That was the real root of the problem, she'd seen the bachelors that took over her step-father's herd nearly tear each other apart over the mares and yet here were two stallions, seemingly one soul. Obviously they shared mares in the respect that they both looked after all of them, but there was that issue of who got who, the technicalities. Surely there would be preferences? She knew that she had been preferred back in her old herd due to her good looks, but how did something like that work here? The issue of the colt they'd taken in hadn't come to mind, why would it?
After those puzzling moments she sighed and lowered her head as well, tossing her forelock out of her face as she did so. "For the record, I don't think that qualifies as ranting." Safara snipped at him, though it was a bit more goodnatured than her previous statements.

Eagle nudged her new foal up into the her protectively and thought for a minute then whispered "You are Eagles Wing and will go by Wing in this herd an as long as your hooves are on this soil" she said before nudging her foal toward dream and saying "Meet Eagles Wing"

As the pressure was released, Ciqala arched her neck to look over at her foal. From what she could see, it was a young colt. He squeaked as she cleaned him off. After a while of grooming she shakily stood up. He looked up at his mother and tried to jump up after her, but that only landed him back in the grass. It took a few more tries before he was able to stand up. Ciqala made a soft, low knicker as he skipped towards her. After a small meal, she began to walk out of the forest with him by her side. "Apple Jacks," she thought out loud. "That'll be your name. "

Cusick held on tighter but felt his grip slip slightly. He bored boys muzzle and teeth speed. Scraps of Akuma hooves sing but didn't effect him much.

He stopped to listen to the bachelor, flicking his ears in determination. What an excuse. But it seemed reasonable enough, though he had unfinished business, it seemed natsu was about to stay a little longer now that another bachelor had gotten in the way. He tossed his head in aggression, and a clear warning he better stay away. Or not doubt the stallion would clearly injure him. He turned away toward his group of mares, and stood in the middle, watching the bachelor carefully to see what his response was. Was he going to attempt again?.
Ezra looked to Natsu. His time was officially out, and he needed to get it over with. From a long distance, the stallion started marching before it grew into a trot. Then he shifts to a bolt as the stud charged through the herd. Head lowered, ears flattened as Ezra snapped at his flanks. Harder and harder as he pushed the bachelor out.

The sire stood closely by his small band, an ear pinned as he looked for a sign of life. Nothing. He certainly could look for more mares, but he assumed he wasn't the greedy stallion he thought he had been. He nibbled on his mares mane quietly, pulling away to rise with a bellow. Where we're the mares? Where was anyone? He felt stranded. Although the peace was accompanying, especially when he wasn't badgered by Bachleors, but he wasn't going to stick with just one mare to cover... He began forward, grasping a few clumps of vegetation before he left with another nicker.

The lead mare huffed quietly while she kept a sharp eye on the others. She moved quietly towards the band stallion, grazing beside him. She groomed his fur occasionally, but affectionate. As the mare seemed to try and get used to her band more and more as time passes.

With two brown eyes watching him carefully, the mare rose with a light nicker in a manner of curiosity. This stallion intrigued her quite so much. It was hard to get mad at him. She stretched her neck whereas her head reached her back to view the stallion even closer. Though fact was, she didn't want to scare him if he had thought he was uncomforting the

mare. Perhaps it was just curiosity getting the best of her. The mare shook her neck tiredly, lowering her head to graze. Her entire body rather slumped to show her approval of the stallion and how relaxed she actually was.

Apollo sqeauled playfully and as Lucy reached over to him and nipped him, Apollo darted towards her, speeding up slightly. But as he noticed Eagle returning to the herd with another filly, he slowed, looking curiously at Eagle's Wing. Another commotion drew his attention. The stallion, Ezra, was going after Natsu. Why? Apollo watched for a moment and looked at Lucy, trying to fnd out what was going on.

Summer watched Ezra charge Natsu and felt greif and sadness flow through her. She'd miss the stallion who'd sired Apollo. Eyes darkening with her sadness, the palomino glanced to Dream and then Lucy to see how they were taking it.
