Wilde had just gotten into an awful fight with Janus again and she ran away, as far as she could. She hated making him mad and he hates yelling so she knew she had really, really angered him. After what felt like hours of running she finally collapsed by a stream, all her energy and anger spent. She felt hollow, devoid of feeling and her whole body was numb from running so far so fast. She had just finished drinking when she heard the undergrowth rustle behind her. Turning, she saw a familiar smirk. Axl strode casually towards her and grinned, a twisted smile that made her sick.
"I heard you yelling at Janus again" Axl said casually. Wilde refused to take the bait and kept her mouth shut. Axl frowned.
"What's a matter babe?" He nipped Wilde on her side, not gently but not hard enough to draw blood. She shrank away from him and Axl laughed, a light, musical sound that would've been beautiful if he wasn't such a jerk.
"You know" he began and leaned close to her "Janus is a very calm quid, you must've really ticked him off for him to yell at you like that. What did he ever do to you? Just gave you a safe place and tried his best to look after you." Axl paused, contemplating what to say next, calculating the words that would hurt her the most. He suddenly grinned, a cold, evil grin. He leaned close to her so his mouth was right next to her ears.
"Monster" he whispered "You're a monster for treating Janus like that." The word sliced through Wilde's heart and she staggered back a bit then exhaled, like she had been kicked in the chest. A monster. I'm a monster. It's true. Isn't it?
"AXL GET YOUR LITTLE BUTT OVER HERE" shouted his mate Veitra from somewhere in the distance. Axl smirked and sauntered off, leaving a swearing Wilde behind all alone. Alone and drowning in dark thoughts.
