Fawkes still looked a bit unsure, turning the thing over in his hand and rubbing some dust off of it with his thumb. "Well.. if you're sure.." He finally yielded, smiling just a bit and tucking the necklace safely into his pocket.

"Thank ye boss... but if I get any angry ghosties in my room, I'm blaming you." He teased lightheartedly.

Ester smiled "okay but I can't promise anything" she said in the same manner back, now sweeping the floor

He stopped and checked his watch suddenly. "Oh, dinner's in a minute or two." He looked back at her over his shoulder. "Should we take a break?"

ester grinned, then looked over to where Fawkes was looking, she tilted her head slightly and blinked wondering what he would do

Marcus thought about this "yes actually, could you cut the carrots?" he asked

She nodded, "Okay" and walked over to where a pile of carrots lay. She got a knife and (tried to) cut them inti pieces

Marcus grinned slightly "you know, I's expect an immortal being to at least dedicate some of their life to cooking" he joked coming behind her and cutting the vegetables quickly with her hands under his then walked back to the stew with a thin smile

Ester nodded "yeah...but it looks better already" she smiled lightly setting the broom down and looking at the less dusty place

"Right... I guess cooking is not one of my talents" she said sheepishly and smiled at the perfectly cut vegetable under her. She took it to where marcus had all the other food and was preparing the main dish. "So... Marcus... how did you learn to cook so well?" she asked with a curious look on her face.

Lux sat in a tree towards the back of the gardens, knees tucked into his chest with his arms wrapped around himself. His eyes were glazed over, glossy with a vacant stare that seemingly hadn't moved in the hours he'd been up there.

Bonny wandered tgrough the garden in search of Lux, eventually finding him in a tree he often went to when upset. "H-hey," He called softly. "Dinner's ready."

"It does." Fawkes agreed, smiling. He followed her out the doir, heading towards the stairs. "Gosh, I'm starvin'. I haven't ate anything all day."

Marcus shrugged "I spent like a hundred years training with all the chef of that millenium"

Ester nodded listening to her own stomach make a faint monster noise "yeah...we kinda skipped lunch" she said quietly with a half chuckle at the end
