its not a plankton, but a diatom.

it is caused by too much light, a day or two with no little or no lighting should kill it off.

EDIT: it is also harmless, just ugly. it is no threat to your tank unless you have live plants, if it is on your plants use your fingers to GENTLY rub the diatoms off of the leaves. otherwise it will keep the plants from getting light turning them brown.

Okay- so it's caused by ligiht. Also, how often do I have to replace rocks? Or never? And I didn't get new rocks recently.
I used to be sugar pixel .

You don't need to replace the rocks, but new rocks can sometime cause it but not always, just keep the water clean and the lights off

Did you endup doing up your saltwater tank?

Not yet. My apartment is far too small to fit more tanks. The 110 and 15 gals will have to do for now. Especially up stairs. x.x

Water change day means bad photo day.

The little black moor is solo. A lady brought him to my work in a solo cup. His fins where eaten up from fin rot. Had fluid over his eyes and a relly bad internal fungus.
Im honesty surprised he made it.

And I understand that I shouldn't have a Comet in a Ten Gallon but my stupid brother got it from a Carnival and I'm still trying to find someone to take it in. He's only like 2 inches right now, but still. x.x

Your tiger barb isn't territorial, he's just being a tiger barb. Honestly, the only territorial barbs I have come across so far are panda barbs.
Tiger barbs are, to put it in short, jerks. They can and will rip up anything slower than them, even other barbs, unless they're in huge spacious tanks in large numbers, like a random example would be a 125g with maybe 45 barbs.
Barbs are schooling fish, and should be in at least a school of 6. I mean, sure he can be alone, but I'd imagine it would be very lonely since they're a schooling fish. I would advise that you get 5 more buddies for your tiger and find a spare tank or something for your comet so he doesn't get ripped up beyond repair. If it gets bad enough I wouldn't think twice about putting him in an empty pretzel jar or something until someone could take him.
If your tiger is a male (his nose will be really red if it's a boy, and really light pink or white if it's a girl- alternatively, the red stripe on the dorsal fin will be more red and thicker for males and more pale and thinner for females) you'll want to get large females and maybe 1 other male minimum for the rest of his school. Male tigers fight by biting each others faces and ripping tails off. But they're hard to sex until they reach 2.5"+, and most places only sell them around 1".
If you don't want more jerky tiger barbs, but want to get friends for your barb, you could try getting female black ruby barbs to put with your tiger barb. The females look similar to tiger barbs, and will school together, but the female black rubies are not quite as nice looking. However, female black ruby barbs are much more peaceful than tiger barbs. Male black ruby barbs are gorgeous, but it's not all the time (they change colors during different times of the day) and they'll fight other males and harass the females, so it's better to have just females if you don't have a lot of space for the females to get away from the males.
Sorry it took me so long to respond to the thread. I had a long day yesterday.
Also, I'm really sorry this is so long ugh I type too much...

Thank you for such a long reply. xD
The fish-store-people that I was asking questions to about the barbs said that they were really nice and could be alone. e_e So thank you for telling me that wasn't true. I'll try and buy some more for my tank, there is another Lamp-eye Tetra in the tank, but he never attacks him, just the Comet. About how many Tigers should I get with the three fish I have in my tank (Lamp eye, Full grown Tiger Barb, and then the to-be-rehomed Comet)? Also would it help to heavily plant my tank/provide more hides?

Noodle is cute! Who's the mom and who's the dad? Wouldn't Noodle get harmed by the rocks? I always thought that snails would eat/get spiked by small rocks/sand.

Thank you! He is cute. ouo Um, the substrate in my tank is sandy stuff and he seems to get about easily like his parents do. =D
I have two adult rabbit snails and one of them was only bought on Sunday last week. I don't know which one is the mother
and which one is the father, but I have pictures of both.

The baby has a yellow band on its shell like Noot Noot. c:

Eep! Those snails are adorabable! 0v0
As it goes for humans, the mother is known to pass on slightly more generic material, especially when it comes to appearance, so my guess is that Noot Noot is Noodle' s mom. But hey, that's just for people, snails could be different.

On another less happy note, the Platy that I mentioned before, Knight, died. All of the other illnesses were starting to die off except for the Dropsy, so I think that's what killed her. I also noticed that her body had a severely curved spine post-mortum so perhaps what really killed her was Fish TB, which I read can present itself as other illnesses (or she could have had those illnesses separately) but often has spinal issues as one of those symptoms either pre-mortum or post-mortum. Either way, I've prepared for the worst, and put bacterial treatment, fungal treatment and parasite treatment on standby.

Any suggestions...?

Ok, so I have a male betta who I've had for a little more than a year now.
I'm not the greatest fish owner (I need to remember to feed him more) and I think that his fins are shrinking due to lack of food. I think the bushy-nosed pleco died, but we have so many plants that we haven't seen the body (or the pleco is still alive and hiding, but he was really old).
I have a 55 gallon tank, so Bong Bong is pretty much alone. I know I need a water change soon, but I need my dad to help. Any advice on helping Bong Bong's fins grow back?

update;;
I went to go put water in the tank with my dad's help but he abandoned me to go play scrabble and teh bucket fell off the tank and spilled and i had to clean that up and then I put the bucket on the floor and the hose started spewing water again so then we had to move all the bookshelves and clean up the lake and then I cleaned the glass on top of the tank because I didn't like how dirty is was
My dad added something that give a slime cover (?) and removes icky stuff from the water

Fins don't really shrink from lack of food from what we know? Fish don't need to eat all that often anyway so unless he's regularly going weeks without food or something it's probably something else. And if he is you might want to rehome him. It's much more likely to be a water quality issue causing fin rot.
How long since you last did a water change and what temperature is the water? c:
Keep the water clean and warm, don't forget to feed him and his fins should grown back eventually.
