This RP takes place in the South Blue, around the time of the Alabasta arc, where two newly assembled pirate crews are heading out to explore the seas, on the Silver Siren and the Harbringer. Their goal? to reach the Grand Line, and fight their way through to wealth, fame, power, glory, treasure, and whatever else the world may have to offer. I would like to assume you all know how to RP, but here’s a few rules:

No excessive cussing, though you can use One Piece vocabulary

Please try to write AT LEAST 3-4 good sentences that move the plot forward at least a bit. Don’t be afraid to make some plot decisions. I would honestly prefer a paragraph, but I understand writers block

No Mary or Gary Sues, so no perfect characters. I also don’t want to see any “boring” characters. I know that sounds judgmental, but I find it annoying and hard to work with when a character’s only flaw is “being shy”, or their physical description is the most cliché picture of an anime character ever, or is described as “pretty, nice eyes, long hair, a jacket.” I don’t get much out of that.

Don’t fight OOC, or in-character too much, unless you’re from opposing ships. You are a crew, show each other some respect, unless it’s somewhat comical.

Don’t maim or kill another player’s character without permission.

You can have a maximum of 2 characters, for quality and storyline reasons

There can only be three devil fruit users per ship: preferably captains, first mates, and one miscellaneous crew member. The captain and first mate don't necessarily need devil fruits, though they would be the two most likely to have them

Nick Name: Spirit-Step Cilia, Captain Cilia, or just Cilia. the people that used to own her nicknamed her "The Silencer"

Devil Fruit: Mute-Mute fruit, or Myuto Myuto No Mi, which allows the user to silence noises around him or her. This is useful for sneaking past marine bases, hidden attacks, and silencing annoying crew mates.



Personality: Although she can be very authoritative, she is naturally introverted and enjoys being alone. She can be rather stoic, and isnt the best when it comes to social situations. However, she does have a very leader-like way about her, and can rally a group to fight for a specific cause. She is generally friendly, can become surprisingly rowdy around her nakama.

History: She was raised to be a weapon for the world government in the South Blue, fed the Mute-Mute fruit at a very early age. Since she was 12, she had been assigned assassination missions, silencing pirates, black market dealers, and other people of power. Her bosses were a rather corrupt branch of government, and would either find a reason to arrest or find a reason to kill anyone who questioned their authority, even other marines. When Cilia was 16, she was tasked to find and hunt down an older marine captain by the name of Pinn, a deaf man who, although doing nothing out of line, had a job position that one of Cilia's bosses wanted. When the time came for her to silence Pinn, she snuck onto his ship. however, her mission failed, and she was captured and tied up. She had been told, if she was found, to take a vial of poison, which Pinn had confiscated from her. She had yelled at him for hours, screaming at him to give her the poison. she was useless, a failed assassin, she couldn't keep living. *enter dramatic One Piece morals about living and pursuing your dreams*. Pinn had let her go, though had told the government branch she worked for that she had been killed, and attacked them for trying to take his life. Since then, she had really just been trying to distance herself from the people who had owned her, finding a small ship and sailing from one island to another. When she was 18, she came across Baterilla island, where the legendary Gol D. Roger had traveled. She was entranced by the adventures and travels of Roger, and decided that, as she had no connections and no dreams, that her new dream was to become a pirate and find the One Piece. She gathered a crew and bought the Silver Siren. After a few months of sailing, the government noticed her, more specifically the one that had owned her. They were shocked she was still alive and, knowing her potential, slapped an 80,000,000 beri bounty on her head.

Likes: She is very fond of the open sea, as all she sees on it is opportunity. She also loves nighttime, stars, and astronomy, and loves nothing more than laying on the deck and staring up at the night sky. She likes being alone, and when things are quiet and peaceful. She does enjoy fighting, if its for the right reasons, and enjoys beating an opponent without having to put any of her crew mates in harm. Speaking of crew mates, she loves all of them as well. She also enjoys reading and writing, and is fascinated by maps, though has absolutely no idea how to read one.

Dislikes: She doesn't like loud noises, and cannon fire and guns are a nuisance. She also doesn't like being confined, small and cramped spaces makig her claustrophobic. She also hates most of the world government, though understands its a rather complicated thing, with unimaginable levels of corruptness yet still has some people that are honestly trying to do the right thing.

Strengths: She uses mainly different knives and daggers when fighting, and is very athletic and agile, staying out of sight of her prey until she she finds an opening to attack. She also uses her Mute-Mute powers to confuse and put her enemy off-guard.

Weaknesses: Obviously the ocean, though she is also weak if forced to fight a Zoan Devil Fruit user, which although hasn't happened yet, would make her Mute-Mute powers useless, as they could smell her. She is also very terrified of heights, and would much rather drown than be thrown off a high building.

Of course, Shade has many a scars dotting his upper body, but other than that, the only tattoo that he possesses is that of two horns going outwards, on his back, signifying his crew.

Personality:
Cool, calm, and collect. Shade usually does not get too over-angered, which is why he likes to lie down and watch the sky, enjoying the breeze and bathing in the sun. He likes the smell of the fresh air, and he is sometimes lazy, spending a lot of his time sleeping, unless someone stops him, or if he feels like it's time to train..

He usually isn't interested in what is going on around him, but he is very observant and great at analyzing. He likes the presence of other people, mostly because they tend to take care of menial chores, despite his 'lonerish' attitude, He isn't the type for revenge, but his desire to not see anymore casualties among his comrades is enough to keep him fighting. Shade Strider loves to travel and see new sights, as to why he became a pirate. He loves adventures and finding new things. As well, due to his distant, calm personality, Shade is a very accomplished fighter, and everyday of training brings him one step closer to becoming the world's greatest fighter.

He is often distant, cold, and intellectual, not showing any signs of distress, but despite this, he's quite polite, and knows how to hold a conversation if it interests him. Shade is highly perceptive, and remains composed during difficult events. He assesses the situation and devises an appropriate plan of action, usually not doing something without reason.


History:
Shade's life of pillaging and adventuring actually began after he first took a bite out of the Yami Yami no Mi. Now, he was born as an orphan on the streets of Ruko - a shadowy city out on the coasts of the South Blue. He had been walking through alleys, a loaf of dried bread burning a hole inside of his hole-infested shorts, when he was alerted to two man arguing quietly near a dumpster. They were both tall...at least 10 feet tall, and they wore suits, combined with curly hair and glasses. One opened an ornate box, showing a fluffy purple fruit that immediately made Ruko's mouth water. Sneaking forward, the orphan attempted to leap down upon the two from a pipe-lining, only to be caught mid-air and blasted into the wall by a yellow beam. The two odd figures were about to kill the child without a sound...only for a man to come out of no-where and decapitate the two where they stood. His name was...Kage...and ever since that day, that older man taught Shade everything he knew, combat-wise, after Shade swallowed the fruit whole out of hunger. Ever since that day, Shade set off at the age of 15, making a name for himself out in the life of pirates as he planned on becoming the Pirate King.

Fresh breeze, moonlight, sleeping, battling strong enemies when he feels like it, and adventuring.


Dislikes:
Loud people, incredibly rude people, people who act too 'mopey' or 'depressed'.


Strengths:
Shade is a prodigal fighter - he hasn't found anyone with better skill. Similarly, he has a very calm, collected personality, and he can stay intelligent and calm in any situation.


Weaknesses:
Shade's distant, dispassionate personality can anger some - especially his immunity to the death he causes his enemies.

Devil Fruit: Kongo Kongo No Mi - The user is capable of producing diamonds from their own body and use it as armor, weapons, etc. The diamonds come in a light blue color that are very reflective, the user is practically a walking jewelry store. The diamonds are pure and authentic, meaning that if the user were to hack off some diamonds, they would be able to sell it for a certain sum of cash.
Not only is the user able to fight with the diamonds, they are able to protect themselves as well, shielding their body’s with a very thin layer of diamond(Although it isn’t needed since the user is very capable of fighting).

Personality: Seemingly very distant, she looks to be very detached from world at times. A forlorn expression is usually present and she tends to be very enigmatic. Often nicknamed the Ice Queen. Luce has a phlegmatic temperament. Just as she appears, calm and courteous on the exterior, she is also coordinated. Luce is one that attempts to consider the whole situation before making a decision, though based on empathy for the most part (ex. "Because it is the right thing to do, rather than it is fair."). Despite her upstanding facade, which one may easily be led to believe, she does not mind quarrels.
She speaks rather little, unless addressed to. As expressionless as she appears, she does tend to feel joy as well as depression but seems to have trouble executing it despite it being such a simple task. She is overall calm and collected though can be socially awkward at times that she leans to some for help and advice to connect better. She does tend to work hard towards communication but has little success in trying to get others to understand. When she appears to a direct joke, she reacts rather slowly or retires from trying to grasp the punch-line. Due to her ever rarely talking, Luce speaks in a very soft and quiet manner, although this doesn’t necessarily mean she isn’t combat ready. The girl is very passionate about fighting, and when she isn’t lingering around someone, she’s most likely training or observing the world around her.

History: As a Kuja, she lived on a coastal village in the Amazon Lilly. The girl grew up an amazing fighter, and that appealed to the society. When the girl grew of age, a crew of pirates managed to come across the village, and since the women had no idea on how to handle the problem, they immediately began firing at the ship which ended up with the village ransacked and burnt. Luce had managed to slip away and sail off on a Kuja ship near the docks, thus finding a fruit on an abandoned island the day after.
About a month passed by, and she met her crew Harbringer and took the spot of first mate.
