Im not sold on any staff pups this year i meen they are cute but i am tired of the blue/grey combination. I think it would be awsome if for the next (2015) staff litter the newborns look like they are all gonna be the same color combinations but for the pup stage they make them any color the participants want

That ruins the point of the staff litter. The point is that the only limitations the staff are given are to use the dog lineart as a base and to stick by the color palette chosen for that litter. If I remember correctly, the staff even vote on the color palette each year. It causes them to have to be creative with that specific color palette and that's what I find so amazing about it, seeing the different designs that each staff member comes up with based on a few colors. It really wouldn't be the same if the staff members were able to use any colors they want.

This is correct. We vote on palettes. If we didn't use the same palette, it wouldn't be a staff litter. The only thing we're allowed to change is the eye colour, and then we can edit.

Yeah, the set color palette is a huge part of what makes the staff litter the staff litter.
It would be nice to get a more colorful palette someday, though. So far the color palettes have been very muted colors; greys, dusty blue, dusty magenta, stuff like that. Which is nice for sure, the colors have worked beautifully together each year, but a nice bright staff litter would be awesome for a change =3

Really, though, we have had at least one bright litter. You can't tell me last year's green and yellow palette wasn't bright, at least compared to the others we've had. :P

He was alone.
Completely and utterly alone.
Tulvir was now the last of his kind. With the age of dragons finally over, he found himself roaming quietly across the lands with nothing but his satchel and a little white bird that had started to follow him only a couple months ago. It was enough company for him, but nothing like the age of dragons. What had happened to his family? His mother, who had protected him for so long, only to disappear without a trace. And what of the Great Elder, a dragon who had taught him everything he knew of the human world? Had the humans been the ones to cause this?
Whatever it was, he knew that his kind was almost extinct. Perhaps it was the idea that all dragons were killers. Tulvir never wanted to hurt anybody; he enjoyed seeing the wonders of life on the planet. There were days where he found himself watching the little white bird follow him, yet never saying anything. Whenever he stopped to make camp the bird was there, perching on his family's crest that he carried with him. What had caused the little bird to follow him?
One day, the bird did not appear. In its place were two spiders, dangling over him with their eight long legs. Tulvir bolted up from where he lay and hid among the bushes, seeing spiderwebs wherever he went. The bird had vanished, and he could only think of the worst. He crouched and wrapped his wings around him, thinking that they were the only things that could protect him. He was terrified; the one bit of company he had was replaced with what he believed were predators.
And the only thing Tulvir could do was cower and cry silently to himself. There was nothing that could be done but hide.

Told you he had a fear of spiders. ;D

And then he realized that he had walked outside. So he went back inside. And there were his friends and family, and thousands of puppies and kitties and bunnies. There was even ice cream and oreos and cake and chocolate and every delicious food that you could imagine. All was well, and Tulvir had absolutely no reason to cry because he was the happies pup/dragon on earth. The end.

Y'know, I think it would be really cool if there was a staff litter palette that had contrasting colors, instead of blending colors. Like pink and orange, I would love that color combo. OH, or sunset orange and teal. ;u;

Well depending on the shades of pink and orange they could actually blend well. Contrasting would be like orange and blue.

...And actually the first staff litter was green and reddish which is pretty contrasting. And the 2011 litter was kinda contrasting too with the yellow/orange and purpley color.

Eh, it's the brightest staff litter we've had so far, but I really wouldn't call it bright. The brownish black color really tone the entire palette down^^

The staff pups are cute and all but I really hope we don't get anymore staff pps, but I know we 80% most likly are, wich pup did tonight's growth come from?

Well, I can at least tell you that Jagger will not be a PPS. :3 I'll miss his puppy stage a bit, but he's pretty keen to grow up. He has big plans for the future... and they all involve sheep. Big sheep, little sheep, black sheep, robot sheep, all things sheep. Sheep are really about all that Jagger thinks about, and he can hardly wait until he's old enough to get his own flock and fulfill his destiny as a sheep-herding collie like his ancestors before him. There will be herding trials to win, wolves to fight off, daring rescues of newborn lambs to be made, maybe the occasional retrieval of boys who've fallen down wells, but all of that will have to wait until he's older and able to run without tripping over his own paws. Every morning he sneaks out of the puppy house while the others are still sleeping just to watch the sheep in the fields, anticipating the day when his dreams will finally come true....

Jagger: I'MMA GONNA BE THE BEST SHEEP DOGGIE EVER!!!
Jagger's Dad: Son, your not old enough yet.
Jagger: I am tooooooo!
Jagger's Dad: One day you'll be ready. One day.
Jagger: Today IS one day!

That is so adorable! The story and the picture ☁Rαιиу-Cℓσυ∂☁ did for it. Jagger and Tulver are two of the staff pups I am most excited to see grow up.
