There is a soft humming from his throat as Lykaios closed his eyes, content to listen to the bright and lively voice of Malone before him. Briefly he thinks of the sound of birds, like a gentle lullaby - yes, that's right. Her voice was like that of the birds... "Anyone can save a life as long as they know how to," He replied gently as his eyes slowly opened and focused on the vision before him. "But, I have no doubts that we'll meet again - I have nothing to support this... Claim, but somehow I know." He took a step forward, ready to depart once more on his life long journey as a nomad who strove for what he did not know.
He paused, then, though, as Malone suggested a hunt. A ear (the left one) is flicked in consideration. He did eat nothing but a bird (such was it that drove him to those measures. He'd never eat a bird if he had a choice - he enjoyed watching birds and listening to them), so he tipped his head in a gentle, slow nod. "Ah, well, I don't see why not? I was forced to eat a bird, feathers and all, just before the conflict with the pack that lives here... Do mind that I normally would not resort to such drastic measures, but I digress." He looked off into the forest, a mixture of gray and white. "So driven I was by our conversation I almost forgot about my own stomach!" He added, grinning stupidly at Malone.

[Alpha*]

She surpresses the urge, just barely, to leap in glee; "Sometimes you just know things." is said in agreement after a moment of indecision. Green eyes glow as she blends into the snow and dead-bark of the trees, up until the silver wolf is once more on her large paws. Malone smiles at the trampled snow a moment at his words, "Feathers taist nasty, and its always sad to have to eat a bird, other than turkeys. Those are good, and filling - the others, too pretty and sweet sounding. Personally? I like humming-birds and mockingjays --" she abruptly is silent, clamping her jaws shut when Malone realizes she is pratteling. Again. His words send her to a happy place a moment, and then she grins shyly back - why doesnt he smile more? "Not easy to do, forgetting ones stomache, glad to help. Now.. what are you in the mood for eating?"

He lowers his muzzle - not in respect, but in deep thought. "If I give you my secret," a pause where those blue eyes are turning silvery - like moon kissed new snow - and hold something most would never dare to try to recognize. "I want you to remember.. that there was a REASON that I.. that I became that, it wasn't by choice, and that my deception... keeps you all alive." another short pause, where it looks like he wants to run, for the shuffle of his paws gives it away; "Nebbia," again with the strange way he pronounces her name - Ne - Bye -Ah, "and I ask you to keep it; and even if I must leave.. keep her safe. She does not deserve my road. " he swallows, visibly nervious - how many moons had it been since he divulged? Soldier takes another deep breath, "I... see you.. all of you perfectly. Every thing I come across, I can see you." now, he is ready to kill, should the need arise, but never does he show that.

Nebbia watched him carefully as he spoke noticing every movement he made how the shuffle of his paws crunched against the icy snow "I will keep your secret . I will not tell a single soul of this if that is not what you wish, for it is your secret to tell not mine. And I will protect her if I must should you leave" she promised dipping her small head lightly as she did so, her sapphire blue eyes locked on that of the large brute wolf only a few feet away from her.

Sol blinks in surprise; she wouldn't tell? She would protect the wolf he calls kin? "That is my wish, yes." is said in soft agreement. Dark ears flick at he looks to the sky with a wrinkle of his nose and a tiny smile that betrays happiness. It feels good that she is willing to listen.. to be open. Perhaps he had misjudged her. Perhaps... she was a good leader. "Knowing what you do now... do you still want to fight with me? I wont hold back the way i would with her; I could very well kill you.. if i become angry." which is a very real possiblity. He shifts so that he is sitting once more; she.... is alot of things.. but... well, there is always that. But. "Or.. do you wish me to find her and show you that way?"

Nebbia shook her head "weather you want to fight or not I truely up to you, I can all ready tell you and Malone are skilled hunters and trackers." she told him "and telling by your size and strength already as well as what you hae told me I can already guess that you are a very skilled fighter" Nebbia lifted her head as she spoke sitting down on the cold snow as well.

[Alpha*]

"Malone.. is the hunter, far better than I shall ever be." admits the male with a fond smile at his memories - belly still full. Soldier clears his throat, "She is fast, but a fighter? Never. No.. I was always the killer. Perhaps...we should fight a little, to not raise suspicion." states the dark wolf with another flick of his ears and sad smile to himself. Blue eyes glint with mischief, "However, if you'd rather not..." those words are teasing.

Nebbias ears perked up at his words hearing their teasing tone, her own sapphire blue eyes catching the mischief in Soldier's. A small smile tugged at the corners of her lips "and what makes you think i would back down from such a promising fight?" She grinned the same teasing tone was held in her own voice as well

He wrinkles his nose in thought; he isnt scared of her, he is scared for her. What if control eludes him the way it has so many times with the little silver? Sol narrows his eyes in thought, "Because... you may not want to." is the answer, "It is hard to find food when you are injured... and a strong wolf may come in and claim your place if you cannot fight for it in hard times." those words are wise. How many times had he done that... and then left... the pack ruined forever? So many. Soldier grins toothilly.

"I see..." She nodded "even so, this is your session you may do as you wish . Whether you want to fight or call it off for another day is up to you." She explained once again. "I understand an heed your warning, but you mustn't underestimate my skill. After all it isn't everyday a small fae wolf like me gets to become the sole alpha." She smiled lightly at that.

Sol cannot help it, he tilts his head much like a curious pup. "It may be the force of your personality. Sometimes there are those born whom others follow simply for the sake of something they cannot name." the words are wise as he straitens himself out. He feels no particular loyalty to the she-wolf before him, only the need to decieve and perhaps kill like the times before - however he shoves the urge down. Now was not the time. This was not the place. A shy smile of his own graces those marred features, "Nebbia.. you are the Alpha, as you say, and I an..... omega... here; I will do as you ask.. only for the sake of your Rank, but do not expect me to like it, or not voice oppinions." that, in itself, is a reluctant admistion. "So, I ask one last time, where shall we begin, or... can you trust my word?"
