Swifttail awoke from his nap, he trotted outside and, saw Snowpelt and, Velvetpaw training. He could tell that Velvetpaw was excited and, Snowpelt was confident in her training. Swifttail sat beside Thunderstar, "Snowpelt looks like she's doing well training Velvetpaw." He said, relaxed.
Velvetpaw stopped about a tail and, half away from the root, still crouched she pounced the root face gleaming with excitement. "How did I do?" she asked, excitedly

Thunderstar nodded

She sat up. "Very good! You're a natural learner. I can just tell you'll be one of the clans best warriors." She purred. "Open your jaws, see if you can scent anything, and if you can, try and catch it."

Swifttail watched as Snowpelt showed Velvetpaw the way to look for the scent. "Thunderstar, when am I going to train an apprentice?" He asked. He wanted to put that excitement on a young apprentice's face.
Velvetpaw opened her jaws and, sniffed the air. She smelt a mouse. She assumed the crouching position saw the mouse and, pounced she almost missed but, caught the mouse and, brought it back to Snowpelt.

She grinned in pride. "That was amazing! You caught your first prey." She purred, and licked the top of Velvetpaw's head. "Let's bury it, and go explore the territory and maybe even catch some more."

Velvetpaw felt very proud of herself. She buried it in the ground and, walked along Snowpelt's side.

[Esther~]

"You'll get the next one."Thunderstar promised

As they weaved her way through the trees, Snowpelt made sure to keep her mouth open. "Right now, we're heading towards the river that flows along side the territory. Maybe you could try fishing."

"Thank you Thunderstar." Swifttail said. He sat outside the warrior's den waiting for company.
"Okay," Velvetpaw opened her mouth and, smelt the fish "They smell delicious." Velvetpaw said she dabbed her paw in the riverside.
