We're in high school now, but our story goes long before that. The six of us have always been friends for as long as we can remember, and for as long as we can remember we've always been friends.

We all have problems. All six of us, we're all going through something. We're just too stubborn to admit it. Too stubborn, too broken, too hurt, too scared. We're so scared. We're so starving. And it feels like it'll never end.

It'll never end.

The pressure's setting in hard and all of us feel it. I swear we do, even if we don't notice that we're noticing it. It occurs to me now that everyone has something to hold onto, and that for us it must be each other. Let's keep holding.

And maybe, in time, it'll pass.

These six kids, living in Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada, all met in different ways at different stages in their lives. Some have known each other longer than others, but they've all known each other for a very long time regardless. Now that they're Juniors and Seniors in high school, the pressure has set in. The struggles of being expected to act as an adult but still treated like a child. Worry for what will come next. College? Work? Military? Some of them don't even have any idea what they want to do. These friends... correction, this family... are in a state of crossing. Crossing towards being an adult. Crossing towards being happy, or vice versa. Crossing towards being more independent, more outspoken, more confident. If they can make it through these times, they can make it through anything. This is what sets the standard for the rest of our lives, so let's try and make them good ones. Just try.

Name; Jackson 'Control' Pinnick ||| Roleplayed by; crush;

It's easy to tell he's a bit on the shy side, but it's not that he has a problem with people.
He just likes to observe. He likes details. Little things. He's the most mature of all his
friends, and the one that everyone goes to for advice. Jack is a generally very calm
and caring person, but is super protective of his friends and family. He's hopelessly
in love with The Blindly Loyal, even though she is too busy trying to fix things with
her boyfriend to even notice. It seems as though he's doomed to live a life of putting
others before himself and helping everyone even when he himself so desperately needs
help. Even when asked what's wrong, he can't bring himself to talk about anything.

Yes, he really can be a lame sarcastic butt who's too lazy to do pretty much anything
out of his comfort zone, but we love him. He's always so apprehensive about trying new
things, and tends to stay sitting quietly by himself when others are having fun. He doesn't
show it, but he's completely lost every ounce of self-confidence he's ever had in his life.
He's too afraid to do anything, because he doesn't think he's worth it. Because he's been
told he's not worth it. His whole life revolves around it, and the bullying is the only
thing he can ever think about. Even if he doesn't show it, and tries to cover with wit
and snarky comments. And it doesn't help that he's in love with The Workaholic, either.

The Immature Kid is crazy. Or at least, people say he's crazy. Always pranking someone or
coming up with some grand scheme to get what he wants. He's a very playful and excitable
person, and he always seems to be bursting with joy. He and Little Miss Perfect are very
openly affectionate with each other, and it's almost not even a secret that he's liked her for
years and years. However, things at home aren't as peachy. The tension is high as his parents
continuously nag him about how irresponsible he is, and how he needs to get a job and move
out and go to college and get good grades and this and that. It's difficult to bear through the
high, incessant, shrill voice of his mother every night and he prefers not to go home until dark.

Her boyfriend is everything to her. She keeps telling herself that he cares, that he's a
good guy, that he loves her, he's not cheating on her, she'll never find anyone better,
and she needs him. She'll deny time after time after time her feelings for Jack, and
refuses to acknowledge them. A boy like him, so kind, couldn't possibly love a girl
like her. It doesn't matter how many times her boyfriend makes her cry, she will
never leave him. She's loyal to a fault, and it's tearing her apart. She never knows
when it's time to step up and take what she wants. She just takes what she can get.
Who knows if anyone will ever be able to change this? Really, only she can do it.

This girl is working two jobs, and kicking butt at it. But it's also kicking her butt. She's always
so tired and stressed, but she really needs the money. Unlike most teenagers, she has to work just
to keep food on the table. She's grown so used to fending for herself and trying to get by that she
finds it really difficult to accept help from anyone. Also, her being tired at least has one positive
aspect. Whenever the friends go to do something, she gets to sit with The Stick in the Mud and be
cute and lazy together. She finds him adorable to be honest, and they actually get along really well.
She laughs at all his stupid jokes and snarky comments while he does the same for her. She's liked
him since middle school, but neither of them have the guts to say anything about it to the other.

Cup of tea? Yes, please. How about 7? Hell yeah. She's going to need it, anyway, with her schedule.
Her parents are a little bit insane about grades and college and have super high expectations of her.
She's super polite to teachers and never has any missing work. Like, ever. She basically puts on the
Teacher's Pet mask for class and around her parents, even though she's really not that kind of person.
Whenever her friends slack off in class she gets worried too, having not experienced the sensation of
having parents that don't mind a B+ average. She's a walking entity of worry, stress, and insecurity.
It's strange though, that she'd happen to fall for The Immature Kid of all people. He was the opposite
of her. Well, the same and opposite I suppose. She just actually listens to her parents nag and go on.

Nickname;; Ever since he was really little, his parents have called him Control. This is because he has two younger siblings, which they like to call Alt and Delete. Yes, they think they're hilarious. Even though it was really just a dumb joke, the names seemed to stick. Alt's real name is Cyrus, and Delete's is Rose. The three of them have all kinds of stuff having to do with their nicknames. For example, each of them has a mug with their respective nickname on it. Sometimes Jack forgets that Control isn't actually his real name, because that's all anyone calls him.
Age;; He's currently 17 years old, but is turning 18 in a couple months. His birthday is November 19th.

Positive Traits;; Great listener, very wise, mature, respectful, observant, intelligent, funny, cute, understanding, can be strict, and really loves his family. He's an incredibly supportive person. He's a company commander, and so he's a great leader as well. Jack is incredibly protective by nature, just like both of his parents.
Negative Traits;; Doubts himself too much, slightly pessimistic, possibly has Bipolar 1 Disorder as it runs in his family and he shows many symptoms of it, finds it hard to talk about his issues even with people he trusts, and he blames himself for everything. He can be moody sometimes, and is very reserved and quiet.
Family;; As I stated earlier, he has a very happy and close knit family consisting of two loving parents named Avery and Jesse, a younger brother named Cyrus (15 years old,) and a little sister named Rose (12 years old.) They have a lot of cute traditions, some being rather odd. For example, on Christmas they always watch Dawn of the Dead and listen to Iron Maiden all day. His mom insists that they must always make sure the house smells like freshly washed laundry, toaster waffles, and 'Spiritual Power' incense from Earth Bound. Therefore, he smells of all those things. Both of his parents are English teachers at the school, and his mom is a veteran as well as a writer on the side. They have several pets including a cat named Dawg, a Great Dane named Lofar, two fish called Marco and Polo, a large snake named Geoffrey, and a tarantula named Harvey. Aunt Daylyn, Aunt Katie, and Uncle Jake visit all the time as well, and he has a really close relationship with them.

Christopher Allen Hudson, though he goes by Chris, is the type of person that will go out of their way to make someone feel better. He is loyal, considerate, will always listen to you when you're feeling down and you need to get something off of your chest, and he's completely understanding. He's up for any sort of adventure, no matter what the consequences are, whether it'd be egging a teacher's car, dressing up as something totally ridiculous for Halloween, or standing up to a bully when he or she picks on someone. He lives in the moment, no regrets, doing what he thinks is right.

Even though Chris seems like the most flawless, cheerful guy with everything right in his life, on the inside, he's a wreck. He is constantly depressed, hiding it for the sake of his friends. His parents give him loads of crap at home, criticizing him, his hobbies, his sense of style. He was with his girlfriend for almost a year before she broke up with him. He loved her; he bought her flowers, cared for her, listened to her, kissed her. He was absolutely smitten. The breakup lead to his depression, his trust issues, his loneliness, all of the crap building up behind a wall. He ignored it, smiling in spite of himself. The wall cracked bit by bit, on the verge of breaking sometimes, but he catches himself and smiles. He reminds himself that's he's lucky; he has a roof over his head, he has friends, he has a good education, but it isn't enough to convince himself.

Some of Chris' habits include zoning out in class, tapping his fingers, his feet, and when he just wakes up in the morning, sometimes he'll just lie there, staring at the ceiling, playing with his hair, thinking, until his mom shouts at him to get off of his lazy butt.

This is Karina Valerie Montrey. Otherwise known as Rina. She's just turned seventeen recently, on September 9th. Her classes [in order] are: French, Athletics, Forensics, Physics, Calculus, Lunch, Chemistry, English, History.

Karina's look is unique and special to her. Probably given she always looks at least decent clothing wise. Often she's wearing some kind of dress, although often it looks more like a short-ish skirt and a tanktop. She loves the idea of bows and tends to have them in her hair. As for her physical appearance, she still looks well put together. She has an overall nice complexion with lightly tinted skin. her eyes are dark brown, almost black and hair just the same. Body wise, she's fairly short at 5 foot 2 and a half feet tall but is very skinny. Her signature things are her long dark spirally hair that falls past her ribs and her pearly smile which is shown off a lot.

Here's a girl that has been trained to only accept perfection. Which leads to the realm of the notorious 'nothing is ever good enough' and by nothing; it's more of an underlying 'I am never good enough' which in a way reigns true in her household. If it's an A, they want an A+. And the question is always why. But at this point she has gotten to that place where she just takes it and listens to her parents go on and on for hours about all her 'failures'. Because of this, she is always pushing herself too hard for her own good. Forget both mental and physical exhaustion: college and grades are too much for that crazy thing called 'relaxation' or 'sleep'. The familiar words to her are worry, stress, perfection, and that's about it. Due to these things, she's seen as constantly wound up, constantly tense and a bit in her own world. People often take it by surprise a girl with such great grades manages to zone out all the time. It's more of her coping mechanism than anything else. Being in her own world of isolation helps her not have to listen to people complain about things she's done and it helps to not portray her feelings until she has to completely let it out. Plus in class she's always so anxious and nervous she no matter how hard she could try, could never tune out a class. That would result in something under an A...maybe. But it isn't worth the risk. Aside from in school though or around parents, she actually has an energetic side. She can be pretty sarcastic and very entertaining if you catch her on days she isn't busting her butt for grades. But her quietness, wariness, and tenseness have been slightly burned into her and tend to never go away.

Karina has little bits of tendencies and habits that are hard not to notice. For example, she's a very isolated person, but she actually does it consciously. She shuts people out with the intention of doing so just in case that person will consider her weak or pathetic; stress is the one negative emotion she expresses and it's often unintentional. When she's nervous or uneasy, she tends to stutter out her first few words each time she talks. And most likely, if you aren't someone she knows well, Karina isn't the one that's going to start a conversation. She also has to keep her hands busy. Occasionally, she'll run her hands over your wrist or something, just so her hands aren't milling all about. The girl does play with her hair or tap a pencil and whatever else to keep her body moving. Biting her lip is another big thing for her. She flinches at almost everything, which goes unexplained.
