People generally escalate the demand of PPS lions after the whole incident with the August PPS being VR in 2012. It was pretty obvious from the start that this little guy wouldn't be more than uncommon, many people adopted two or even three at once.

I definitely wondered that as well (not to mention it happened with several other pets) it always seemed very obvious.

That actually had a lot of demand when it first came out as well, same as the Jester Lion.
