aliases:: out of teasing affection, his crew calls him blue-eyes, which they know he hates. he otherwise insists they call him captain, and other crews and their captions call him lys - he's quite well-known.

gender:: male
pronouns:: he is referred to with masculine [he/him/his] pronouns.
age:: if he were observed in terms of how old he would be as a human, he appears to be around seventeen years old; whilst he is young looking with his sly, cheeky grin, he is mature enough to be considered a young adult. however, considering he will never age, he is stuck at this age forever and therefore hates how he is not thoroughly taken seriously for it.
sexual orientation:: asexual homoromantic - he does not experience any attraction towards males any further than cuddling and the occasional smooches. past that he is uncomfortable and does not have any desire to continue. he is certain he is only romantically into guys but a few girls have turned his head, making him debate if he's homoflexible or not. he isn't entirely sure on the sexuality manner.

about his shadow:: his shadow is his best friend, and he often speaks to her wherever he is, no matter if he's in his captain's quarters or in public. he calls the shadow trinket, and often refers to it with she/her pronouns, as she seems to respond positively to said pronouns. she feels a strong pull to the doll and he relies on her to lead him in the right direction. trinket is very important to him and they have a powerful bond. he will speak to her when others are around, and it may seem peculiar seeing a tough guy pirate talking to the air with a gigantic smile bursting across his lips as he speaks to what seems to be nothing, but it is indeed his beloved shadow. most shadows have a contract-only relationship and drag absently behind their dolls, but they, on the other hand, are the best of friends! while they depend on each other for attention and affection, they also depend on the doll's caretaker. she replies to him with small squeaks and high-pitched whistles, while he speaks to her normally. she seems to understand.

his personality:: lysander is a bit cocky and hot-headed; he holds his head high and is, quite frankly, very temperamental. he dreams of traveling the world and seeing sights that mankind and dollkind should not be able to see, for example: the sunsets and sunrises, where colors like purple and pink grace the horizon, and he adores staring up at the stars and telling himself he's significant despite being a puny little doll in a rough world in a universe that's going to be devoured and destroyed in billions of years. he is very confident and has a lot of empowerment, and he does not commonly doubt his decisions. the only opinions he needs are from his own mind or from trinket's. he doesn't trust anyone more than he trusts trinket, and is much more trusting of her more than anyone else. whilst he doesn't seem interested in romance, he commonly wonders how trinket would feel if he found someone and she eventually began communicating with another's shadow.

his dreams:: whilst he feels he cannot travel too far, his mind craves for something aside from the day after day routine he finds himself continuing. his days blur together and make him feel stale and like his ball-joints have stiffened up, rendering him motionless unless he puts extra energy into trying to make himself go on. he craves the taste of saltwater on his tongue, and the smell of the ocean wafting around him. he wants to touch the stars and he wants to set foot on undiscovered land. he wants to explore, and he wants to be his own person; he wants trinket to be at his side at all times. this is certain.

his 'crew':: he has mild schizophrenia, which makes him think up scenarios, and he will blabber on and on about his crew. there's the cook, piglet, who won't stop making slop for dinner! rory is his right-hand man and does anything lysander tells him to do. he says they call him 'blue-eyes' to tease him sometimes, and he gets haughty and impatient during these times. trinket often has to calm him down when his crew annoys him to the point of annoyance; she rests on his shoulder and he calms at feeling the cool sensation positioned there, not to mention the faint comforting coos she murmurs to him. trinket helps him escape these dreams, though it is usually constant unless 'his crew is sleeping', as he will warn.

his theme song:: his theme would probably be oil & water by lights, as it explains being away from friends. it signifies his past owner and his separation from her, and he craves that attention again. he wonders if he will recieve it again.

why the pins?:: i will be explaining each pin, from where he found or received it and its meaning to him.

• his hat // this hat was actually made by a past owner of him. his last owner's mother was a tailor and her daughter begged and begged to make a hat for her dolly. the mother gave in, and made a small hat, complete with plush fur and varied pins hidden on it, for the daughter. the girl was pleased, but as she grew, she forgot about her doll. he still wears it because it brings back old memories and those bring pain, which he is familiar with, and said pain strangely comforts him.
  
• his belt-like string // not long after trinket signed a contract with him, hence bringing the doll to life, lysander's first discovery was a small piece of black string, which he measured and managed to snip a piece off so it comfortably fit as a belt. it was a beginner's and naïve move from the beginning of his life, but he keeps wearing it for memories, similar to why he wears his hat even still. over time as he found beads scattering the floor he manages to tie them on and make sure they aren't going anywhere. he also collected small feathers to attach to his belt by similar tiny strings!
  
• trinket's eyepatch // before they signed a contract, the two were already connected, in a way. their owner, the daughter of the tailor, underwent a tomboyish pirate stage when she was around six and seven. she grew and eventually forgot about her doll and eyepatch, and the small half-circle of fabric was left smashed between the wall and the bed, whilst the lonely doll was sprawled beneath the dusty springs of the bed. trinket was made from this eyepatch, and later found lysander, glassy-eyed and sad, underneath the bed. they formed a contract soon after that.
  
• trinket's bandana // this was only a recent addition to the accessory collection. lysander felt bashful and unhappy that he had so many accessories whilst trinket only had her eyepatch. he insisted he would grab her something and find her something nice, only met with a few hesitant noises and a sad look in the expression of her eyepatch. She found her the bandana and helped her put it on before she could deny and toss it aside. she found herself loving the little bandana, and adores the orange and yellow contrasts in the mirror.

I've decided to name this beauty Farran.


Farran means Adventurous, and Friendly in Irish.


Her close friends call her Feefee, or Farfar
Her pirate-mates call her Farrae or Fairy.
Anyone else calls her Farran or Far.


I see this Doll as a Female <3



Bandana-Help Farran was exploring around in her
mother's home-state, California, when she met a cowgirl,
who was heading the same way Farran was
heading. The Cowgirl said she had lost a cow on the trip,
and both girls started to search for it. Suddenly, they
turned around, and there was the cow! Both of them
laughed. Something caught Farran's eye, it was a bright,
yellow bandana. She picked it up and decided to keep
it as a memory.

Feather 'n' Beads-Friend When Farran was young, she
didn't have many friends due to the fact that everyone
in her area were either way younger, or way older than
her. One day, a boy had moved in next door. He was
about the same age. Farran went over, and asked him
to come over and play with her. The Boy came over,
and both of them became really good friends. After a
month of being best friends, The boy announced he
was moving again. Farran was devastated, but she knew
it was for the best. The boy held out a necklace with
feathers and beads, and told her to remember him by
wearing that. Farran took it with no hesitation, and
said Good-Bye to her first real friend.

Eye-patch-Sorrow 'Tis was a sad morning that day.
Farran's sister was hurt in an accident. The whole
family was in the hospital, waiting for the doctor
to say something. Farran couldn't do anything to
past the time, so she asked to see her sister one
more time before the operation. The Doctors let
her in. Farran went beside the bed, looked at her
sister (which was in a cast, and had an eye-patch)
and started to cry. Her tired, and hurt, sister
raised her hand up and tried to wipe the tears away.
Her sister whispered, "Remember me, Farran."
Farran cried even harder, "Please..." Her sister
took of her eyepatch and told Farran, "If I do not
survive... Take this to remember me...."

Hat-Laughter Today was the day Farran and her family
were going to go to the theater to see a play written
by William Shakespeare called "Romeo and Juliet".
Farran was very excited. As they took their seats, a
girl sitting in front of Farran turned around. "Hey
there! I love this movie don't you?" Farran nodded.
The girl laughed and said, "but you've never watched
it have you?" Farran shook her head. All movie long,
The girl asked Farran questions. Soon, she got really
bored. "Eh, no more questions." Suddenly, everyone
started clapping. Farran looked up, and it was the
credits! "Good thing you missed that movie!" Farran's
brother gasped as they stood up to go to the exit,
"It was so romantically disgusting!" He looked green
in the face. Farran laughed and said, "Yeah sure." The
girl who was talking to Farran said, "Hey, bro. You
need something to puke in?" She held out a hat. Farran's
brother shook his head. Farran asked, "Can I have that
hat?" She giggled, "In case he does?" The girl laughed
and nodded, "Here!" Farran took it, and said bye to
the girl. Her brother didn't need to puke anymore,
so Farran had a new hat!

Farran is a fierce, yet friendly, pirate. Her actions show
Courage, and Bravery. She has never backed down from
a dare, or challenge, unless it was stupid or didn't have
any use/show any bravery.


First of all, This would be my first doll here ever.
Second, I think her color scheme is amazing, and adorable.
Third, I love the pirate theme.
Lastly, Overall I think you drew her well!

Why the pins?
They are memories of all the places she ever went to. The pins on her hat was at a tavern she stayed in and met her best friend, Jein, her shadow. She found him when she was searching through the lost and found, she was trying to find a ring that was given to her by her father. The other pins were from her home town, to remember her family. The rest are to remember where to find her greatest treasures!!!
