Personality: Vanessa is a total cutie pie with a huge heart to boot. She enjoys being with other people and has a lot of friends because of her sweet disposition and humorous attitude. She likes to flirt a lot and is quite athletic. She has some self-confidence issues and doesn't think she is particularly pretty, but she is still fine with that, as long as she has people she cares about and who care about her.

She is very bubbly and kind-spirited, the perfect person to go to if you are seeking advice or a shoulder to cry on. She is openly selfless and is very humble. She doesn't get conceited and really can't stand people who think they are superior to everyone else. She stands up for herself and her beliefs and rarely backs down.

When it comes to her friends, she loves to laugh and have a good time, but she knows how to balance humor and seriousness. She has some crazy people in her life, but she loves them to death and accepts them for who they are.

History[Optional]: Van's mother died giving birth to her daughter and Vanessa grew up without a "mother's touch." She has often wondered if growing up only with her dad had made her gay, but in the end she really doesn't care. She never really missed what she didn't know and was always confused when the kids in her elementary school called her strange for not having a mother. Besides that, she grew up like any other child in Churchill.

Personality: Passionate, independent, and mysterious, Jer is not a man to be toiled with. His resolve is absolute and he rarely ever changes his mind once he has decided. He can be a bit headstrong, but it's all part of his charm.

He is rather gentle on the inside, if you reach him through his facade of cool indifference and detachment. On the outside, he seems reserved, though he has a pull, a draw, that makes him bewitching. His crushing aura is one of pure confidence and self-reassurance. Jer spends no time with self-concsious issues or "what ifs" because he knows hesitation only brings trouble. That being said, he does not forgive easily as he has been hurt too many times to count in the past.

As a friend, Jer is compassionate, understanding and dependable. His advice is admirable and honest, though he spares no kind words of condolence. He believes that the best way to learn from one's mistakes are to suffer for them and stand one's ground. Pity gets you no where. Jer can seem as though he has a heart of stone at times, even to those he cares about, but in a world so dominated by pettiness and violence, leaving your emotions on your sleeves to be read like a book just isn't an option.

History: When Jer was ten, his parents had an ugly divorce that ended up in a war for custody. He was tugged from place to place, sitting through court hearings, and being forced to deal with his parent's arguments and yelling until he thought his head was going to explode. In the end, his mother won custody, but as soon as he was old enough to get his own place, he moved out. She helps him financially, but he is close to neither of his parents and haven't forgiven them for the hell they put him through.

Personality: Shade is very flamboyant and extremely zealous and ardent. He's bubbly and very charismatic with the unique charm of being able to make almost anyone smile; he enjoys making people happy and hearing them laugh--it's sort of in his blood. Shade is 100% gay, but it doesn't take away from his fun-loving attitude, sarcastic, and joking personality. He can be distant and cold if he dislikes you, but can be great company if he does likes you. He can be a bit careless and dense at times, rarely ever being serious. He is more of a "go with the flow" and "party till you drop" kind of person.

Shade absolutely loves to sing and dance, and it isn't uncommon to hear him belting out some song on his way to class or dancing randomly in the hallways. Perhaps what makes him so special is that he doesn't care what other people think about him. He believes strongly in being himself and remaining confident, so if he wants to sing, he'll sing...and there's nothing you can do to stop him.

His best quality is his ability to forgive and his selfless aspects. He hates asking for favors and can't stand it when a person is laughed at or picked on. His worst quality is that it's extremely hard for him to be serious and he can give off the wrong impression in times where he really needs to cut all the goofing off.

History: Shade has no idea who his father is as his mother played around with a lot of guys. His earliest memories are ones of different men coming to live with him and his mother, but none of them stayed very long. His mother soon grew depressed after being broken up with an a** of a punk rock star, and began to drink. Losing money, and losing his mother, Shade got a job at thirteen at a girl's clothing store, and soon found his love for girl accessories. He made up for the money that his mother spent on booze and drugs, and tried his best to live "a normal life." When he openly came out of the closet, he is angered to admit that his mother was horrified, but after a while, she began to accept it.

Unfortunately for Shade, his mother went out to buy more alcohol, already drunk, and died in a serious car crash, killing a family of three simultaneously. He has never really forgiven himself as he feels that he should have forced her to stay home. If he had, four lives would have been saved.

Personality: Monica is the "popular" girl that has everything: wealth, friends, looks, etc. She's prone to jealousy, and is very good at getting revenge. In short, don't mess with her...she has a demon in her soul and will eat you alive, bones and all. Despite the regular stereotype, she is extraordinarily intelligent and has the cunningness of a fox. She has her "sweet" side, though it's absolutely fake and she only puts it up to either impress important people, or to play unbelievably cruel tricks on those she wishes to spite. She is an excellent actress and an even better liar.
History: She's the classic example of a spoiled, little rich girl. Her father and mother gave her everything her heart desired and she grew up in one of the wealthiest families in her birth town, Carlsbad. She only moved to Australia due to her father's job, but not without many fits and arguments. She still resents her parents for making her leave her friends and life behind, but has grown to like the "popular" girls of her grade and fits right in.

Personality: Generally collected, but easily agitated or irritated, Callum does not take stupidity well. He has a low tolerance for those who set him on edge or purely annoy him, and is quick to criticize both himself and others. His highly critical nature makes him very intelligent, but perhaps a little reserved, and he does exceptionally well in school. He is often made out to be meticulous and a clear perfectionist in piano, during school and outside life. Letting loose and "going with the flow" is the last thing Callum would ever do.

He looks at life through scientific eyes, and believes all occurrences have some explanation. Callum is level-headed and down to earth; yet his seriousness is both bad and good as he rarely jokes around. When he wants things done, he gets them done. He always stays on top and never procrastinates in his studies. So, basically he is the "model" student, but don't pass him off as a perfect know it all. He has issues just like everyone else.

Quipped with a sharp tongue and an easily flared temper, Callum can be quite energetic, but not always in a good way. He has a reservation towards friendliness, and has trouble getting close to others, as he is afraid of being abandoned (much thanks to his father's lack of desire to ever visit his own son) and often abandons others to spare himself the pain. He's known as insensitive.

Do the cons of his personality outweigh the pros? Perhaps. But Callum does have some redeeming qualities. He's honest and empathetic (to most people) and, even if he'd never admit it, enjoys spending time with other people. If he's certain you won't abandon him, and he puts full trust in you, his own loyalty is unyielding. He's determined and has many goals that he strives to achieve, mostly for his career in music, one of the only things he truly loves about life.

History: Originally born in New York, Callum and his parents moved frequently, mostly to town for promising artists, as both were professional painters. At a young age, Callum developed a skill for piano, so another gifted person was added to their small family. As time passed, Callum's father developed cancer, and he was forced to settle down and stop traveling in order to keep his health from deteriorating further. Callum's mother, however, decided to move to Europe for a particularly good job offer, and her son went with her, mostly against his will. His mother and father's marriage has been falling apart, as they rarely see each other, by both of them are too stubborn to be the first to suggest a divorce.

Several years passed, and during that time, Callum become a cultivated and sought after pianist, traveling to many theaters and competing in many competitions. But piano soon began to take over his life, as everyday was a grueling six hours practicing one composition or another, and Callum's mother decided to send him to a small town in Australia, where her sister lived with her daughter.

Now, Callum has been forced to move into Sunda's home, and stay there to finish his last two high school years. He isn't too pleased about it, but he doesn't have much choice.

His major hobby is playing the piano. It's his passion and he can sit by the piano for hours, creating his own music or playing his favorite composer's scores. Though he is but 17 years old, he has won several national piano competitions and practices everyday. Pretty sad he's stuck in a small town, right? You can thank his mother for that one.
