Now I'm stuck with Sparky. She's a bully. The fish I got from the lake also wants the top part of the tank, but pushy little Sparky chases him down to the bottom. At least the neon tetras are nice!
Any thought about Ghost shrimp, people? I'm thinking about getting a pair of ghost shrimp for the tank. Would they git with a few 1-2 inch fish? Thoughts about being eaten / eating others? Thanks in advance!
Yeah, they can definitely be little bullies sometimes. cx
I've actually thought about getting some Ghost shrimp before aswell. But I was wondering, for any Ghost shrimp owners/lovers out there, can they be housed with a betta? Or a tank with some Glofish and apple snails possibly?
More then likley the betta will make a meal of the shrimp
Eating it limb by limb
Same with the glofish

The description you provided of the disease kinda reminds me of "ick".
It kills extremely fast. I lost my betta Ignitus and my other boy, Spikes to it in under 24 hours and I believe it can infect the rest of the tank just as fast.
I'm sorry to hear about your fish D; losing a pet to a disease is hard!

Ok. I'll remember that for future reference.
Does anyone here have an all Otto tank? I've been considering converting my one 20 gallon to one. I always say they're the guinea pigs of aquariums! They eat a ton for little fish but I LOVE THEM! I only have 3 in the 20 gallon right now with 2 guppies but I can move them to another tank if I do that.

I haven't owned Ottos before
I thought about it but I prefer bristlenose Plecos
They eat more algae and aren't as finicky as ottos
But I'm sure it would be nice with lots of live plants
If you use the 10g again clean everything in it out with vinager then let it dry out compleatly in the sun before putting any more fish in
That should get rid of anything that was in it

I don't think it is ick, a fish can survive ick for around a week and is easily treated and most of the time is caused by stress

Ick isn't exactly easily treated.
Basically you have to let it run its course, keep it from continuing, and hope the fish survive it. (It's a combination of raising the temp, salt I believe, good water changes, and the like)
Ick could be in a healthy tank and you'd never know it. It only appears when the fish's immune system is compromised. So it isn't necessarily caused by stress.

If I'm not answering, I'm probably at work. I usually get on in the late evening my time (listed timezone below)Pronouns are they/them and you can call me Starfalling, M, or Morgan. I'm in Pennsylvania which is on EST (CStime -4)I love trading, although I'm recently back from a long hiatus so I'm not fully up to date on demand. For any current event pets, I’ll only trade them away if I have a double, and I don't trade growing pets Real life got hectic and I somehow missed the whole month of May on here. Looking for all May pets, will keep WL updated as I goI use bold a lot because it's easier for me to read, since you can't change other people's font size and being zoomed in constantly is annoying I am a holibomber!
Sig was getting long, my counts have been moved to trade rules
