What is a Lapidi ?

Lapidi's are a canine like beasts, made for war. These are war beasts. Often Donning Armor.
Though, with the war being over- most of them aren't taught in the old ways of war anymore. Exceptionally loyal to their owners, Lapidi's are each associated with a certain type of magic, and a gemstone. Each possesses the power corresponding to their Gemstone, with it being very rare to say have an Amber Donning Lapidi associated with Water.

Are all the Gemstones on them the color of their associated Gemstone?

The answer is no, Only the Gemstones floating around their neck need to be the gemstone they are associated with, all other gemstones on their body and armor may be of any color, though - they have a preference towards their gemstone as far as armor is concerned.

Four Eyes?

Lapidi's have four eyes, the more frontal eyes are for vision, where as the rear eyes are better suited towards detected temperature changes. Colors can be anything, and it's not weird for a Lapidi to have 4 eyes each of a different color

Rules

1. Don't make a fuss if you don't get the Lapidi you want.
2. Do not disrepect anyone, from would-be adopters, to any staff, including myself and Kirarya
3. Do not Alter your Lapidi's appearance, but you may change it's armor- give it different armor
4. I reserve the right to revoke your Lapidi if I feel you aren't a proper owner
5. Non-staff may have a max of 7 Lapidi. Staff may have a max of 10 (Not including 1 or 2 customs)
6. You can make others gift-Lapidi, Gift Lapidi are not 'registered' Lapidi. And so, you can make as many gifts for others if you want- remaining reasonable (Not like 10 Gifts!)

Lapidi Looks

• Lapidi May be Winged
• Lapidi ALWAYS have four eyes
• Coat colors are rarely very bright, with base color often being a dark color, with light designs.
  ***Coats May be any color, it is all up to rarity
• Lapidi aren't always super complicated,they are war dogs not pageant kings and queens
• Lapidi May have large manes, or small manes.
• Lapidi's have had an intense history, from working as a sort of sled dog, to their own turmoil, to being used in the 5th greatest war of worlds to now just being sort of magical pets and free wandering beasties

Sizes; These Beasts are huge

Males; At the tip of their ear stand at 5-6 feet
Females; At the tip of their ear stand at 4-4.5 feet

Quick Facts

1. Lapidis have forked tongues
2. Lapidi's are strong, able to pull like a husky- at about 600 pounds in good health
3. At one point, people used Lapidi's as Sled dogs referring to them as 'The Devils own Sled Team'
4. A full grown male Lapidi is strong enough to have an adult human male on his back of equal weight.
5. Lapidi don't have the best sense of smell- they know your heat signature and your voice and you

Amber - Fire - Overly protective brutes,
Amethyst - Water - Calm, Tranquil- the least war oriented of war beasts!
Diamond - Air - No known personality traits
Emerald - Earth - No known personality traits

Obsidian - Shadow - Dark, mysterious not inherently evil
Sapphire - Water - No known personality traits
Tiger's Eye - Fire - Ferocious, powerful. A warrior among fighters.
Lapis Lazuli - Water/Air - These are quick witted, smart Lapidi
Citrine - Light - No known personality Traits
Azurite - Water - No known personality Traits
Bloodstone - Poison/Fire - No known personality traits
Ruby - Fire - Loving, royalty

Here's a basic summary of them.
Lapidi's are a canine like beasts, made for war. These are war beasts. Often Donning Armor.(Rarely are they not at least wearing coverings for their most fragile parts.)
Though, with the war being over- most of them aren't taught in the old ways of war anymore. (History lesson on Lapidi's 101)
Exceptionally loyal to their owners, Lapidi's are each associated with a certain type of magic, and a gemstone. Each possesses the power corresponding to their Gemstone.
Body type wise they resemble any well-bred Doberman. But size wise they are large. With males ranging from 100-200 pounds and females coming in at 90-150.
They stand 4.5 -6 feet from base of paw to tip of ear. They're sturdy and are generally as long as they are taller, if not a bit longer.
And, a simple fun fact regarding them-- they used to be called 'the devils sled dog team' Due to their somewhat harsh looks.
