Lilly flicked her tail. She rolled her eyes and begun to climb down. When she got low enough she leaped down using her tail to kept her straight and bent her knees when she landed.

Matthew watched as this unfolded there wasn't much he could do he didn't know either of them. "I don't see why anyone should get hurt, no one has made a threat or shown that they are part of a pack." He announced scrapping dirt with his foot to hide the ice he created.

Nevaeh watched the anonymous girl's feet as they padded away. They barely made a sound on the overgrown forest floor and Nevaeh felt disappointed that the encounter hadn't gone well. Matthew was left standing awkwardly and moving the dirt around is feet. It was odd habit. "So," said Nevaeh, "then there were two."

I crouched between the dense vegetation that lined our forgotten town, the twigs of the overgrown scrubby bushes scratching my pale porcelain arms. Light flickered across my palm as a clumsy tailed thing came crashing through. I stepped out from my hiding place and let the harsh golden aura of my palms blind her for a while. "What are you doing in Light Pack territory?" I hissed, the dancing light flaring brighter with my anger.

Vita Mortem

Vita circled the forest lazily, enjoying the wind beneath her wings. She heard raised voices and saw a lone figure leaving a clearing. Vita called on her hawk vision and saw a set of cat ears. The shock almost killed her, falling out of the sky can be quite deadly. With an ear piercing shriek, she dived towards the cat. Just seconds away from impact, she saw a human body lurking beneath those furry ears. Vita used all her strength to pull back and ended up hanging upside down, half a meter away from the cat Neko.

I stumbled back, a strangled gurgle of shock in my throat. A gale hit my face, teasing my hair into tangle knots. A pair of huge wings obscured the sun. Attached to the wings was a girl, upside down, who seemed just as startled as I was. "Hi," I muttered, too surprised to say anything else. My golden eyes flashed. Her eyes were just as golden, but more amber, like a hawk. Was she like me? I regained my composure. "Hey," I grinned, one palm outstretched towards the cat chick, in case she tried anything stupid. "Need a hand?"

"Um, sorry. That was kind of a bad way to introduce myself." Vita righted herself and gently landed next to the girl. "I'm Vita." She kept the cat at the corner of her vision the entire time, still suspicious.
