That was just not average, so the press conference had been scheduled to close in due time and everyone could go home. Like someone walking up and telling that the Beatles are getting back together, or that someone figured out who stole the last jelly donut from the Chickensmoothie staff refrigerator. However, neither of those questions answers were on the docket, so people were beginning to trickle out.
Until one voice asked..."but what about Floogle?" All getting caught up in the recent news that Babbu and his owner were reunited, everyone seemed to briefly put the lovely little pup who was so loved to the side for a moment. Only a moment now, as soon he was back on the raging forefront. People needed to know who Floogle was loved and bred by! They wanted to know what genius made such a beautiful dog, a smart pup who helped fool many Smoothians for such a long time. Little did the rest of the crowd know, the pup that was instrumental in tricking them belonged to an equally as trolling staff member.
Before they could begin breaking things down, whispers began to circulate that another confession was to take place. It was updated to the agenda, people held baited breath waiting. Watching. Even behind the stage, people did not know what was going to happen, or who was going to say something. Instead, they just saw Floogle's crate taken out of the back room, where he was let out to run and play with Babbu, and moved to sit in the cloth folding chair. While everyone else ran around, whispers rampant, the cute pup just sat in his carrier, an almost serene look on his face. But that wasn't the strangest part. No, the fact that two other dogs were being led in from the back was the strangest. A beautiful fae with a long peacock like tail that flicked as she walked. A large, sturdied dog with antlers that stretched far above his head, feathers around his neck. What were they doing here, and why was Floogle suddenly whining for them?
Before anyone could ask, Pluma entered the green room area. Her path went straight to Floogle, where she gently pulled him out of the carrier, hugging him close to her. After a few moments though, she set him down, letting him run to the two grown dogs. Taking the leashes off of them all -- they didn't need them -- Pluma didn't answer any staff questions as she walked out to the podium, the small rabble of canines following her. From her vantage at the edge of the curtain, Bel watched with a curve to her lips, focus more on the crowd than the other woman.
"Hello, everyone!" Pluma said confidently into the microphones, no hesitation in her voice or nervousness in her tone. "I have asked that this press conference not be shut down yet, as I too have an announcement I would like to make. I know you all have begun to wonder who Floogle really was made by, and I am here to answer that. Me. I made Floogle."
Chaos. That was the only word that could describe the sudden roar from the crowds, shouting their happiness and clapping each other on the backs. So unexpected this was, but so nice to here.
"I also brought his parents with me, so you could meet Floogle's entire family," Pluma said with a soft smile as she indicated towards the happy group with her hand. "That is all, thank you!" However, instead of leaving the stage and podium all together, Pluma walked over to where the family of dogs sat. Leaning over, she allowed all of them to lick her, as well as love each other. They were one big happy family, and it was so evident, it caused everyone's hearts to melt, and 'awwwwws' to fill the air.
Floogle was not alone. He had a family, and an owner and creator who loved him very, very much.
Guessing is driving me crazy! But i can't seem to stop either....
