Three's the Charm [Accepting - Semi-Lit+ Pokemon MD]

After a long period of peace, no one expected it to end so abruptly. A small fit between Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres quickly grew into something more. Articuno, the original occupant of Frosty Grotto, has left to fly aimlessly across the region to flight with it's counterparts Zapdos and Moltres, who have left Mt. Thunder and Mt. Blaze, respectively. Since then, odd weather patterns have occurred while some have changed entirely. The southern desert has frozen over, the northern mountains are experiencing forest fires, the western coast has had bouts of nasty electrical storms - and much, much more.

Rescue Teams have been at their highest lately as missions keep pouring in. Over flooding, actually. New teams are welcomed and new members are sought after. That means that competition is also at a peak height. Things can get pretty rowdy under one roof - that would be King's Guild - but at least the old Noctowl has given you and your team a place of your own.

Do you have what it takes to be in an elite team of Rescuers?

Rules & Form

Postby Korra's Left Foot » Thu Sep 11, 2014 7:32 am

Basics: Tess's and forum rules apply, obviously. No god-modding, Mary/Gary Sues, etc. etc. No swearing/cussing- not even when starred out.

Literacy: This is a semi-literate+. Although you will be required to write at least 5 good sentences, often more will be written. Sorry, but writer's block is not an excuse to write less than those 5 sentences. Correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation will be expected. However, I like my RPs laid back and I know how pesky auto correct can be. Make some errors? No worries friends.

Form: You may either use the basic form supplied below or make your own, it doesn't matter to me so long as the information gets across.

Characters: Try and keep genders as even as possible. There is no real limit to the number of characters you may have, but anything over three is usually a handful.

Pokemon: You can be any Pokemon, excluding legendaries and pseudo-legendaries. Anything Semi- and below are welcome! There is no limit to your moveset, but please don't use like 10 different moves in one sitting. Space them out, use the same few, don't go crazy. Make sure that you only use moves in that Pokemon's actual knows. Also, there is no leveling system, but Pokemon can still evolve over time through battling and effort. Taking those into consideration, that doesn't mean a Squirtle should be running around using Hydro Pump, it probably would have evolved before reaching that high of a level. Bulbapedia and Serebii are great sites to use for anything Pokemon related! On one other note, HMs are not so much as moves as common sense. Appropriately sized water Pokemon can "Surf" others around, just as most anything with strong enough wings could "Fly" others around. Anything with something sharp can "Cut," and so on and so forth.

Other: I will RP some of the more important NPCs such as Noctowl, legends, etc. Lesser NPCs (ex. minor ones brought up for a short time) may be controlled by anyone.

Locations

Treasure Town
Includes Kecleon Shop & Kecleon Wares, Duskull Bank, Kangaskhan Storage, Marowak Dojo, Chansey's Day Care, Xatu Appraisal, Spinda's Café, and King's Guild.

King's Guild
Much like other buildings, the guild sports the head of a Noctowl. Wings are constructed on both sides and a large crown placed on the head of the bird. The interior is held underground in two levels. The first level is where the Outlaw Notice Board and the Job Bulletin Board are located. The second level has the Guildmaster's chamber, Crew Rooms, and the Mess Hall.

Base House
Lucky you, this is where you and your team will be living. Usually they are basic wooden constructions, but can sometimes be renovated into the shape of a pokemon. Beds are provided, along with a water pump and storage.

Tiny Woods
A small forest located near Treasure Town. Noted as a very easy dungeon with few pokemon and items found here.

Thunderwave Cave
A small cave north of town. Seen as another easy dungeon, some pokemon (mainly electric types) and items can be found here.

Mt. Steel
A mountain located north-east of town. A moderate number of pokemon (mainly steel types) and items can be found here.

Sinister Woods
A slightly bigger forest a tad further from Treasure Town. A moderate number of pokemon (mainly bug and grass types) and items can be found here.

More places will be added when needed.

[ duke ;; mankey ;; male ]
o O o
_________________________________________________________

Name; "The names Duke, don't make me repeat myself!"
Gender; "I would have thought that distinguishable. But really, I'm a dude."
    Species; "A Mankey of course!"
    Team; "Haven't thought about it!"
_________________________________________________________

Appearance; Duke is a fairly average-looking Mankey, though his fur is a bit...messier than others. He wears a muscle band as a hair tie. This keeps the fur out of his eyes, but also gives him an amusing tuft that sticks straight up.
Personality; Duke is a free spirit. He loves to go adventuring and exploring, and will often try and drag others with him whenever he's headed. He is most often a very laid back Pokemon who in open and enjoys socializing. However, if you get him mad (which isn't too hard) you should probably find the closes shelter and hide out for a bit. If he's raging, its difficult to stop or calm him, but it'll pass soon enough. Duke likes to think of himself as better than others and feels a very strong need to surpass everyone else. He will often push himself, sometimes too hard, and get into a bad situation.
Likes; Nothing beats plays in the trees and adventuring. Duke absolutely loves climbing, swinging, and jumping from tree to tree and he would gladly do so all day if he could. Coming second only to that is battling. Duke has a strong will to grow stronger and feels the need to surpass others. It also makes for a great pass time and allows him to better his knowledge of different strategies.
Dislikes; Naturally, he dislikes psychic and flying types for their advantage over him. This may cause him to go to great lengths to overcome the type disadvantage to prove that he is better. Also, Duke hates when anyone who openly brags about their strength. Only he is allowed to do that! On a smaller note, he doesn't like anything he can't do. This would include swimming, puzzles, and sitting still.
Strengths; Being a fighting type, Duke has an advantage over normal, ice, and rock types. He is a natural born fighter and has the strength and flexibility to prove it. His hissy fits serve as both a strength and weakness, one being that while going through a period of rage, Duke only has his eyes on one thing, and that is usually destruction of something or someone, upping his power and determination.
Weaknesses; Specified above, Duke is weak to flying and psychic types. A downside to his rage fits is that anything could happen. A thrown object could be directed at an individual or a fist could fly at an innocent victim. Mankeys weren't designed for much of anything passed swinging in trees and fighting. Swimming is a no-no as Duke will probably freak out if in water up passed his knees. He isn't stupid, but puzzles and mind games aren't a strong point of his.

-Username: Grimm
-Character Name: Rift
-Species: Riolu
-Team: Fighter's Creed, or just The Creed, or Creed, for short. It's only him, and he's thinking of getting new members today.
-Appearance: A tad taller - only by an inch - than the average Riolu, Rift is generally a focused Pokemon. He has a Power Band - crimson in color around his neck, and a blue Detect Band on his right ankle.
-Personality: Rift is usually a calm, distant, and determined Riolu, never giving himself into emotional debates or faith arguments, and never really becoming friends with anyone other than his closest of teammates. He's in love with battle of any kind, and due to his permanent determination and grit, he has surpassed and surmounted countless challenges in his young life. He plans on becoming the greatest warrior of the entire world...a hefty task, but one he plans on surpassing to the end.
-Likes: His true greatest passions are, obviously, training, fighting, and meditation. In Rift's mind, one cannot have too much inner strength, and inner strength is just as power, if not more powerful than any physical prowess. Other than that, he doesn't enjoy too much. Silence, peace, training, fighting, meditation...that's all, really.
-Dislikes: Too much loudness, and annoying Pokemon...that's all. He doesn't dislike those with an advantage over him. Rather, he learns from them, to increase the physical and mental defense he has over their specific typing.
Strengths: Rift is, obviously, effective against those his type clashes with. He is a very disciplined and controlled fighter, sticking to his own tactics of reading his opponent's aura, getting a good grasp of their fighting style, before unleashing precise, accurate, fast, and strong attacks to the vital parts of the body. Due to his immediate grasp of Aura, Rift is immensely talented with reflects and outhinking/maneuvering his opponent, making him a dangerous enemy to have, and wonderful protector.
Weakness: Despite being inwardly kind-hearted, there are times where Rift could be heartless and cold to others, thusly making him distant and non-social to immensely friendly faces. Similarly, he's weak against those that are strong against his type, although he usually outwits those opponents - or outright take them out before they could attack.

[center]Name: Grace

Gender: Female

Pokemon: Eevee

Appearance: Grace has darker brown fur than the usual eevee, and her fur is also thicker and softer. Her eyes are a green/blue color instead of brown. She is small for her species, but don't underestimate her because of that.

Personality: Grace is the sweetest thing on the planet. She is extremely selfless, always putting herself before others. She is also quiet at times, and slightly shy when you first meet her. Grace is also sensitive and caring. But she does have flaws. Grace often gets frustrated with herself for being useless, even thought she does more than she realizes.

History: She'd rather not talk about it, but she was exiled from her tribe of Eeveelutions for being different. You'll have to ask nicely if you want to know anything else.

Other: Nope! :3

[center]

[center]Name: Tank

Gender:Male

Pokemon:Bagon

Appearance: Tank is your average Bagon, with a light blue body, yellow stomach and chin, and a grey crest. He i remarkably large for his species, and he is well muscled. But not chubby or fat in any way.

Personality: Tank is a born fighter. He will risk anything for close ones, often putting himself in danger. But like his name, he is extremely strong, so he rarely gets seriously injured. Tank is also loyal, he would never leave a friend behind. But He does have a few flaws. Like his typing would suggest (dragon) he is arrogant at times, and prefers to work alone on tough missions. Nonetheless, Tank is a great friend and team member!

History: Tank's father, Stryker, was a highly experienced explorer, he was ranked one of the highest for a few years. His mother was also strong, but she rarely left their cave. One day, a few weeks after Tank was hatched, an ice type legendary (not pointing fingers... *cough* Articuno *cough*) went on a rampage and permanently crippled Tank's mother while she was in flight, causing her to plummet to her doom, into an icy ocean. Stryker went after Articuno shortly after, leaving Tank all alone. His father was never heard from again. Ever since then, Tank has raised himself, with no help from anyone. He applied at the guild and was accepted, and now trains to become the best, as his father once was. And one day Tank will see his revenge on Articuno.

Other: Nothing really...

Both of you are accepted. I'm still debating on one or two teams, so I'll leave the poll up got a while.
