"If you must." She nodded.

"Unfortunately, I think I do." He kissed her forehead gingerly. "Be back soon, okay?"

"Good." She smiled, cherishing the feelnof his lips gently on her skin.

He paused at the doorway, tilting his head, not wanting to go. "I love you," he said nervously, because he had never said it to her before.

She turned to look at him, slightly surpised he said it. "And I love you too, Doctor," She whispered back tenderly.

Doctor smiled and nodded. He opened the door, turned back and gave her a little wave, and closed it.

She waved back to him, before dropping her hand in her lap and sighing.

He sighed, back against the door. He always had a plan, everyone always counted on him to have a plan. But he didn't have one.

The Master grinned, getting the tannoy on. "Woukd the Doctor come to the Office," the demamd rang around the building.

Doctor looked up warily and slowly nodded, knowing he was being picked up by little security cameras. "Hearing you loud and clear," he whispered, stalking down the hall towards the office.
