After everyone had said goodnight to her, Luka set her laptop aside, and went to sleep.
The rest of the week flew by, and the anticipation was practically killing Luka.
She couldn't wait to meet her friends.
"This time tomorrow, me and my friends will be drinking tea and eating pie all together!" she thought to herself.
The day was going by relatively slow for Luka.
At the end of the day, she went to her computer and found someone requesting a private chat.
She quickly checked. It was Jacob.
Luka grabbed some flowers, and began to weave them while talking.

I wanted to ask you something before we meet tomorrow.

Please don't tell me you're going to ask if I could lay off the pie, again. because I swear, I will bite you.

Luka had just finished the flower crown she had been making.

Luka's eyes went wide. She was too embarrassed to keep talking.

I... I don't know. I should get to sleep though. I stayed up too late last night, and I need energy for tomorrow.

The next morning, Luka rushed out of bed, and put on the flower crown she had made.
She remembered the first time she talked to Jacob on Skype, she was wearing a flower crown.
After eating a quick breakfast, she quickly headed off to the pie shop where they were all to meet.
They were the best friends... coming to her town, instead of making her go somewhere....
She smiled the whole way there.
When she got there, she was pleased to find 3 familiar faces sitting at a table.
"Oh my gosh!!! Hi!" Luka almost shouted when she got in the door.
"eeep!!" Ailee then hid under the table.
She had always been an antisocial Foxer, from what Luka heard.
"glad you could finally make it" Theodore said.
"I'm glad I could too!" Luka replied with a gaping smile sprawled across her face.
Luka's eyes met with Jacob's.
He was even more cute in person.
"Hi" Jacob commented with a light smile, clearly trying to contain his enthusiasm.

The four Foxers spent the whole day together laughing, shopping, and just having a good time.
Eventually they had to get going.
After Theodore and Ailee had left, Luka and Jacob were left together.
"so..." Jacob hinted.
"so..." Luka copied.
"what's your answer?" Jacob asked.
"I..." Luka paused for a moment, suddenly getting anxious. "I.." She repeated. "I think we need more time."
Jacob stared at Luka a minute. "oh... o-okay. well, I really enjoyed getting to meet you. I hope we can do this again someday."
Luka smiled... but inside, her heart dropped. what had she done...
"I.. I enjoyed meeting you as well." she said, hating herself for saying that.
They said goodbye, and Luka watched him walk away.

Luka slinked slowly to her bed. Exhausted after a long day.
She remembered how she blew it with him...
and then to hear a few months later he was with Ailee...
Luka couldn't deny they were perfect for each other.
so she was fine with just being friends.
even if it hurt..

the feelings were fading, she realized.
she didn't miss him as much.
he's just a friend.
That old attachment was breaking,
and this new chain will carry on.. forever..

I looked around worriedly, afraid that I hurt someone.
My head turned down to meet the eyes of another Foxer. She was quiet pretty, I'll say.
She looked at me with those big, purple eyes.
"I'm so sorry!" I said in a panic.
"O-Oh, no, it's fine...! Uh...I'm Ara, by the way..." She flashed me a rather shy smile.
"Well, hello, Ara! I'm Luka! Luka Megurine!" I shot a great big smile. Ara's cheeks flushed, more color blooming as she adverted her gaze from mine. I tilted my head slightly, wondering what was up with her.
"Well, I have to go now." I was about to turn when I felt a tap on my shoulder. It as Ara.
"M-Maybe we can hangout sometime?"
I hummed softly, in thought for a moment. "I'd love to!"
Ara grinned, and I just smiled back. Wow, no one has ever been so happy to hang with me....
I quickly snapped out of my thoughts.
"Alright, I really got to go. Bye, it was nice meeting you Ara!"
"Bye....Luka..." Ara looked down as I walked away.
