WC: CYOA Discussion Thread

Speaking of ideas...

I've been thinking about it all day, and I've finally come to a few decisions regarding the next CYOA. These may or may not change, but for now they're a solid foundation:

• The next adventure will have 12 spots open, and participants in the first story will only be allowed if absolutely no one else signs up after a week.
• The new story will also take place in a new thread, but this thread will still be used for discussion. The archives will also stay on one thread.
• While there will be some limitations to the choices at the beginning (you will now choose between being a warrior, a medicine cat, or a deputy with no availability for apprentices, and the Clans are already decided by me) and there will be no skill raising (the suffix the group chooses will entirely decide the character's skill set), the story choices will become much more broad (the readers will decide how the story ends, instead of there being a planned out ending, as well as what choices will lead to a character's death and which won't).
• There will be no fancharacters involved (for now - this is the one I'm not so sure on, since due to certain factors the characters are extremely unlikely to show up).
• The characters will be in new Clans.
• There will be quite a lot of difference between the new story and canon (like, even more so than this story).

Hopefully so. But the way things are going, I may have bit off more than I can chew trying to feature each fancharacter, especially with the lack of any real need to interact with them. I might be able to squeeze a few more cats in, though. My apologies to everyone who hoped their character would receive an appearance and won't get it.

Hope you don't mind my interruptus here, but I just wanted to poke my little nose in and say that I'd definitely want to [try] to be a part of your next CYOA. I've really fallen for your writing style, I'm on CS all the time, and I'd love to get to toss my two-cents in.
Of course, I'd say something again when you're actually asking for participants, as I don't expect you to be holding spots before Rookpaw's adventure is over, but I just wanted to say something instead of lurking like I've been doing. ^^;

So will the next adventure be something entirely new, or will it be in the same Clans set in the very distant future? It would certainly be interesting to see some Rookpaw descendants, even if they are her great great great grandkits. Perhaps then the story of Rookpaw could become a legend among the Clans c:

This will take place in entirely new Clans, though we won't see as much of them as we have here.

Or we will. Depending on what you do and how I'm feeling.

In either case, we may meet up with BrookClan and ForestClan cats (since, in my mind, there are multiple Clans throughout the country, but the cultures would be very different).
