Golden Bay Dun Brindle

Postby SerenWish » Tue Sep 09, 2014 3:12 pm

I....I have fallen prey to the primitive and unusual genetic bomb craze! Have a western boy with some special meanings!

Show Name: Thy Fearful Symmetry
Barn Name: Tyger, but he also goes by "Ty" for short.
Gender: Stallion
Breed: Kiger Mustang
Height: 15.0 hands
Age: 5 Years
Color: Golden Bay Dun Brindle
Markings: Wide star, snip, coronet, pastern, brindling
Genes: E/e, A/a, D/D, Sty/sty (Brindling is not genetic, however, offspring have a high chance of crossbarring (faint stripes on neck/hindquarters)
Personality: Tyger can be one of two ways: fiery and full of energy or calm with a regal air to him. Usually Tyger is fiery and full of life. He likes to cause mischief and to be on the move. He dislikes staying in one spot too long. When he is in this mood he can be extremely headstrong and difficult to persuade to do something he doesn’t want to do. He can be a bit of a show off and likes to prance around and at times rear to gain attention. When he is angry or insulted he can be a bit rash and defensive, letting his temper get the better of him and sometimes may take some time to cool him down. He is fiercely protective of his loved ones and friends and would do just about anything to keep them happy and safe; even if he wants them to think he is only there to make them miserable [with his antics]. On the flip side Tyger can also be very serious when he feels the occasion calls for it. He is usually calm in a crisis and would rather think things through than panic. When he is in this mindset some would say he has the potential to be a leader, but he doesn’t ever really act on it. Some times he just likes to be quiet and watchful, keeping more to himself than in the company of others, but usually this is short lived. He is a very proud horse and likes to keep his head held high even if he has done something wrong. He wont back down from a challenge and would rather face his fears than run from them. He is very loyal to those he trusts, but those that he trusts are few in number. Overall he is a kind-hearted horse albeit a little rough around the edges with his fiery temperament and regal moments.

Favorite Literary or Film Tiger? It took a little thought to find one that was different from what others had answered, but I think he was worth the time. I decided to go with Spar from the movie We Bought a Zoo. He is an older tiger in the movie that Benjamin, the new owner, feels a connection to. When he is told that "decisions" will have to be made about Spar he doesn't want to hear about it. I've only seen this movie once and it was a little while back, but I liked the connection that was between the two and how Spar even though old [and If I remember in the end ill? Maybe just old] remained in a sense regal and full of dignity. Another Pic

His Show and Barn name come from William Blake's poem "The Tyger"

OMGOMGOMG I can't even. DONE

Long looking form, but it's really not that hard! XD This boy is based off of a Tiger's Eye gemstone, and I'm thinking of making this an unofficial series- Western horses based off of semi-precious gemstones... (Jasper, Turquoise, etc!) His bridle has Tiger's Eye gemstones on the browband and cheek pieces.

Enjoy! Pop me any questions if you have them! (I may tweak his mane/tail to fix them later!)

End Date: September 15th.

Abhay is as his name suggests, fearless. He charges anyone and anything who he decides doesn't belong around him and doesn't care about the repercussions. Even though he can be very aggressive at times, he can also be very level headed and enjoyable to be around. He enjoys the company of his barn mates and is often very sociable. However, he is very controlling, and has gotten into fights with other horses in his herd to assert himself as leader. If he sees anyone in his herd causing any trouble, he steps in and asserts himself. As aggressive as he can be towards his herd, he is also very protective of his foals and doesn't let any other stallions near them. He is very smart and is very careful with his movements so that he is able to move without making a sound. By doing this he has figured out how to get as much food as he wants from the storage and none of the farm hands have figured out his tricks yet.

Honestly, the only book/movie I've read/seen with a tiger in it is Life of Pi. The tiger in the book/movie, named Richard Parker, is trapped on a life raft with the other main character, Pi, essentially forcing them to become friends. They develop a significant bond while trapped within 30 feet of each other and show that tigers aren't always what people think they are.

Favorite Literary or Film Tiger? if it can be two, it's the two tigers from the movie known as "two brothers" and it's centered around the story of two brother tigers and I just love it.

Genes: E/e, A/a, D/D, Sty/sty (Brindling is not genetic, however, offspring have a high chance of crossbarring (faint stripes on neck/hindquarters)
Personality: Aslan is the biggest sweetheart you will ever meet. All he wants to do is make you happy and be loved on. He adores attention and will often play a game of keep away just so you will play with him and keep him company. He's very loyal and if he had his own way he would never leave your side....ever. He's protective and watchful just like a real gentleman and gives slobbery kisses too. He hates to be cooped up so most of his time is spent outside under the sky and enjoying the lush grasses. Do not mistake him for a pushover tho, just because he's sweet doesn't mean he wont put an unruly colt or filly back in their place or give you a good nip if your being rough. His demeanor within the herd asserts his place as lead stallion and he will not tolerate any trouble makers. He knows when to give and take punishment for any actions.

Favorite Literary or Film Tiger? Well my favorite was already chosen and I didn't want to pick the same one so I'm choosing Vitaly as my favorite tiger. I love how he was stubborn and secluded in the beginning and when he finally started trusting people you got to learn about his sad past and then he was really sweet and funny.

Personality: Tigers name fits his pelt but it also fits his temperament. He is a sly stallion who knows how to get what he wants and takes orders from on one. He is highly unpredictable, one day he is a gentle soul who snuggles with all the handlers. The next day he is a wild beast, intent on biting whatever moves. Because of this his handlers are only the most experienced at the barn. Even them he occasionally tricks, he is always coming up with new plans. Once he pretended to be asleep in the stall, the second the stall door was opened he bolted free before the unsuspecting stablehand could do a thing. Among this he has done many others things that drive the stablehands nuts. He is hardly cooperative when being ridden, unless the owner of the stable rides him. She has seemed to click with him and the two of them are an amazing team at shows.

Favorite Literary or Film Tiger? I don't think I have read a book with a tiger in it and on,y watched two movies with a tiger in it. Life of Pi which I really didn't like and Two Brothers, probably one if my favorite movies ever. So I would choose Two Brothers, it is such a sad movie but it has a great happy ending :) ( I saw it has already been chosen but I couldn't think of anything else)

(He is SO amazing!)

Personality: Tiger is a very impressive stallion. He is not the typical impressive stallion though. He is a thick muscled boy that has his own way of thinking. There is nothing you can do to stop him from barging out of a stall or galloping off. Most people think of him as an untamed, unruly, ungrateful horse. But if you are gentle but firm around him, he'll warm up to you and be like a little kitten.

Genes: E/e, A/a, D/D, Sty/sty (Brindling is not genetic, however, offspring have a high chance of crossbarring (faint stripes on neck/hindquarters)
Personality: As flashy as the mineral he is based off of, Ti is brave and high-spirited. He loves to flaunt his stuff. The stallion is a confident leader and very agressive. He has a terrible temper, and always has to be the "king". Ti is ever-courageous, and as much as he likes to be the leader and doesn't always love company, he would never allow anyone to die or be seriously injured on his watch. He's protective over his herd and the few horses he feels close to.
Tiger's Eye Photo: i love tiger's eye - have one myself!
Favorite Literary or Film Tiger? Rajah in "Aladdin".
I admittedly to not watch many films with tigers in them, at least not that I can remember. I was never a fan of Life of Pi, never saw some of the other movies mentioned with tigers, etc. However, I have always liked Rajah. Rajah is the Disney Princess Jasmine's pet tiger, whom is ever-loyal to her owner. I love Rajah's disposition and depiction throughout the movie. I also love the bond between Jasmine and Rajah that is clear on-screen. Rajah is my favorite Film Tiger that I remember.

Favorite Literary or Film Tiger? Oh my gosh! I absolutely love Rajah from Aladdin. He acts like a little kitten. He is so sweet and cuddly. He is a great friend. He is very protective of Jasmine. He is playful to. He understands Jasmine and always tries to help her. I really liked how you could see a special bond between them throughout the movie. It was a really great addition to the movie.
