I guess I am Christian really, because I've been baptized and I did my communion, but I really do NOT believe. I didn't have a choice because I was so young at the time, but I've just abandoned the whole Christian thing and I'm an Atheist now. My friend is a very strong Christian and she sometimes picks a fight with me about it, saying that I have been baptized so I should believe in what she believes, but I just don't :\

Username: Sisterwolf56 (Or just Sisterwolf)
Religion: Atheist/Therian(Which is less of a religion and more of a spiritual belief, although no one really knows what to offically consider it.)

I guess I had the choice to be whatever I wanted. I mean I went to church as a child, but never really believed. In any case if you want to consider Therian a religion then i'm Therian. If you'd rather call it a spiritual belief, then I guess i'd be Atheist.
I believe in evaluation, and yet some how i'm also a Therian. It makes sense and yet again it makes none.
As an Atheist, I believe in science more than any god, so I believe evaluation. At the same time, i'm also a Therian so I also believe in reincarnation. Which in a weird way makes sense. I mean what else would happen to all of the souls after we die? Considering I don't believe in god and there for I don't believe in heaven either, they have to have somewhere to go.
I hope that makes sense. O.o

Edit: This will explain it better than I EVER could if anyone is intrested.

Yep, I celebrate Christmas, Easter, and so on as well. Heck, I may not know the true meaning of Christmas, but who cares, free presents.

And @xPunii; I'm technically a Christian too, didn't get baptized, but I grew up in an all Christian family. They want me to go to church and all, but why? Making me go to church isn't going to make me believe, or make me want to for that matter, it'll make me less and less likely to believe in that religion. I hate nothing more than being forced into something. None of my friends really know I'm an atheist though, and my whole school is pretty much all Christian/Catholic. My family doesn't even know, except for my mom.

Yes! High fives! xD

Agreed! Probably why I never did alot of things to be honest. Like sports. My parents tried to force things on me and only ended up pushing me away from them.

Look on the bright side, at least when you tell them you wont have to explain it five times before they understand what it is. Lol.
I tried to explain what a Therian is to my mom...let's just say we had a nice two hour talk. Lol. xP

Oh hey, theri there. :P I'm just going to write this assuming evaluation=evolution. Although, I mean. I believe in evaluation, and therefore I believe in evolution, but that's a story for another day. n_n

You say "i'm also a Therian so I also believe in reincarnation." Do you think being therian necessitates belief in reincarnation, or is that just your personal way of making sense out of therianthropy? Do you personally think of therianthropy as being your religion, and if so, in what way do you practice that?
I suppose I still identify as therian, myself, and while I also believe in reincarnation and suppose it could be part of the explanation for why I am therian, I tend to ascribe therianthropy more to this life, and my psychological constructs, rather than a form in a past life. But, I mean. Maybe. I tend to think of therianthropy as having a mix of spiritual and psychological sources and not as a religion, but that's just my personal view.
Anyway. Not trying to hijack this thread, I was simply curious in your spiritual ideas re: therianthropy, Sisterwolf. :P

I celebrate Chirstian holidays too :/
I just like being with my family ^^'''

I used to be a Christian, I was baptized and went to church, and I didn't enjoy or get anything from it. And I'll say this, if my parents hadn't left Christianity like they did, I would probably still have ended up as an Atheist/Humanist. All the members of my family have slightly different beleifs... I have friends that sound like they're in a similar situation to yours, they're Atheists in a highly Christian area..... For them at least, it's difficult to live like that. :/

Free presents are the best. And not only do those holidays give free things, they're a time for families to come together and for friends to be nearer. It's nice, especially in the coldest season of the year, when everyone feels more down than usual.

I've been baptized and saved (not in that order) and believed whole-heartedly until I was sixteen. I think it finally hit me that, "Whoa. Why do I believe in this??" I tried to find evidence against the things that I learned about what the Bible said to no avail, and eventually left the faith. It was scary at first, because like you seem to, my family and most of the community around me is Christian. Now that I'm at college though there are more people here like me. I helped start an Atheist/Agnostic/Skeptics group on campus and it's done pretty well so far. It makes me happy to feel connected to like-minded people.

Only a very small amount of my family knows. My very immediate family, but I think over the years the state of my faith has spread to most of the rest of my family as well. I haven't heard anything from them though, so that's okay with me. I just hate not being able to express my views to the people I care most about.

I can get into that. My mom doesn't mind me not going to church because my dad is an Atheist too, but my grandparents are very big "fans" of the Christian belief. So when we go to them I have to go to Church but I really don't care for the belief. I go to a Catholic school where we have meetings every once in the month to pray, but a lot of the kids on my school don't believe in the Christian "God". They're either Muslim or Atheist, some are Therian (I didn't know the name for that, but thanks to Sisterwolf56's post, I now do :3)

I do know the story around Christmas, but I just think it's nonsense. But now I must agree with Lupen the Wolf, why open my big mouth? I get free presents, so I shouldn't complain :3..

You shouldn´t be worrying about celebrating Christmas anyways. It was originally pagan holiday and Christians have just adopted and modified it to be more suitable for them. :3

...aahh, I probably should introduce myself properly!

Tuike
raised as christian, but I truly don´t believe in this stuff so atheist/agnostic. More of an atheist but yes, still.

Yea that was my phone trying to auto correct me. Like it's doing now lol.

I believe in reincarnation as my way of explaining it. I mean I feel like my soul is not where it belongs. You know? I don't think it's a religion per say. It's what I believe in so its my belief, but I wouldn't exactly call it religion myself. As far as practicing? Well nothing really. I tend to live my life on both sides equally. I feel my animal side (so say) there and I let it out. It's just as much of me as the body it's attached to. Its like having the soul of one and the body of another. Funny thing is, i act wolf like more than I act like a human. In some ways I think that I'm still wolf, just in a new body. Anyways, basically it's more of me explaining why I feel like I do all the time. Why I feel like I don't belong in this body sometimes. Does that all make sense?
