Alright Metallic, here I go again
R2R: I'm going to stick with rags to riches
"Keep your eyes wide and your ears sharp" the pup has open eyes and sharp ears.
You said that your previous staff pet gave a subtle hint to the one now. I'm going to go with...ear edits, since your last one had edited longer ears while this one has edited pointed ears.
"Little thieves and tabby cats fallen leaves then golden mats what luck have I, this little one to escape my fate and be redone." I dug and dug and found this little story called "The Poor Miller's Boy and the Cat" There are three boys apprenticed to a miller. The miller promises the mill to whichever boy brings him back the best horse. Two of the boys promise the third boy he can have the mill. Then they leave him in a cave and go to to take the mill for themselves. Thus being, 'Little thieves'. 'Tabby cats' would refer to the tabby cat the boy meets upon entering the forest. And all the other cat servants the tabby has in her castle. 'Fallen leaves' could refer to one of two things. Poverty, or the house of wood the tabby asks him to build her. I'm going to go with that latter. The trees that are cut down make me think of leaves that have fallen-just as the trees fell when he cut them down. 'Then golden mats' refers to how the house he builds her changes into a palace with everything silver and gold inside of it. "What luck have I, this little one to escape my fate and be redone" may refer to he was how the boy was left in the cave but was found by the cat, thus letting him escape his fate. He is redone later in the story when the cat tuns into a fair maiden and gives him the finest of clothing, marries him and they live in the beautiful castle-rich as can be. Also, in the story the boy is with the cat for seven years and she never gives him another shirt so he is literally wearing rags by the end of it. Just like the pup is.
Metallic, I hope that was enough to convince you. I worked real hard on this.

Ok, I'm sorry if this has been said before but I think the theme is fairy tales! Or Disney, which ever.
So far I;ve figures out;

Saikio; Pinocchio
"I was aiming for a puppet theme, but ended up looking nothing like a puppet."
Pinocchio starts of as a wooden puppet and ends up as a real boy.

bel racat; Dumbo (I think. Im not so sure about this one)
"My dog was inspired by animals!"
Well, dumbo is both an animal and the whole movie is based around animal and circus animals.
"My dog may want to fly a little..."
In the ned Dumbo learns to fly because of his giant ears.

Metallic Dragon; Cinderella
This one has pretty much been explained all morning, so if you read back you'll see why.
I also think this pet will change completely when its full grown, so that we get thrown off slightly.

Verdana; Dorothy (I think. Im not so sure about this one)
"My dog uses ALL the colours (some more than others). It also has an unusual accessory."
This is the only one I could think of that fits, as Dorothy goes from the black and white of Kansas to the rainbow colours of Oz. The accessory could be anything though.. It could be Toto, A bucket of water or the ruby slippers...


Sleeping Beauty
The closed eyes and the roses..


Jack and the beanstalk
It started as a small sproat.. And then it grew up...


Maleficent
Its something about the eyes.


The Little Mermaid
The eye colour for starters and then of cause the scale-like pattern.


Peter Pan
Second star to the right and straight on till morning.


The wolf
Wolf ears, ripped clothing.. Im not so sure at this point xD

Thats all I've got so far. But, Im really hoping I'm on the right track...

It's a good guess, but there aren't really themes in staff litters. There are only color pallets and the staff gets to create a staff dog of their own choice, but it has to have the collars in the color pallet chosen.
