She nodded, chuckling in agreement. "Yeah, number sure does crazy things!" She peered over at what he had caught, and her tail flicked happily. "Nice catch!" She commented, eyeing the voles.

He shrugged at Flamewing's compliment. " It's far too scrawny. Besides, they wouldn't have survived the cold season anyway. " Flintfoot said, pointing out the small rib age that was easily visable on the dead and starving vole.

The fiery-red she cat blinked. "Well, its still food." She nodded. "Its better then no food at all. Besides, Petalkit and Bumblekit should be able to feast on this." She beant down to sniff the voles, and then stood back up with a satisfied nod of her head.

Flintfoot

" I'll take them back to camp. At this rate, they'll freeze before I have the chance to put them in the fresh-kill pile. " Flintfoot decided, beginning to pick up the small water voles.

She nodded. "Good choice. Shall I help you?" She asked, bending down to pick up a vole, but never removed her gaze from Flintfoot, her jaw open.

He picked up two of the frail voles. " Sure. " He muttered through the short and grubby fur.

She nodded and picked up the other one. She made sure not to bite down to hard on the limp animal, so that way she wouldn't get tempted to eat it. She began to pad back to camp, but stopped for a moment and looked behind her, just to make sure Flintfoot will follow.

Kestrelflame limped to a tree near camp. She savagely clawed it, causing her to yelp in pain because of her shoulder. She kept clawing the tree, her eyes filling with tears as she whimpered in pain each time her claws met the bark. "My life is horrible! I hate it!" She screeched to no one and collapsed against the tree, panting heavily.

DarkPelt padded over to KestrelFlame with a frown "What's wrong my child?" Her voice slightly saddened though... soft and soothing
