When you create a trade, there will be three options at the bottom - delete, edit, accept. Underneath that, there is a text box. That's where your trade message should go. I will send you a trade to show you.

You just needed to have your first post on the forums approved. Every member of CS needs to have their first post approved by a moderator before they are able to send trade messages or PMs. You've done that, so now you should be able to type messages in trades.
