A Fight Between Captain Lex and Lieutenant Drakon
(From the point of view of Captain Lex, because, you know, favouritism)
I entered the grounds that were to become the site of my battle with Lieutenant Drakon. It was an abandoned football pitch, the seats around the stadium eerily empty. Even though there was no one else here, it felt like I was being watched. Old adverts that had been torn by strong winds still hung from their respective places. Spiders had created webs all over the unused nets. What a place to fight someone. It was early in the morning, the dew still glistening in the grass. I gritted my teeth as a gust of wind chilled me to the bone.
It had seemed like hours until Lieutenant Drakon showed up.
"You ready?" he called, striding towards me.
"A little stiff from standing here waiting for you to turn up, but otherwise fine," I replied. Lieutenant Drakon halted a good ten metres away from me. He went into a defensive position and began to slowly approach me. I stood there, watching his every move. He continued to creep forwards, and I counted down the metres until he would get to me. Five... Four... Three... three was too close. I leapt into the air, fists clenched. Lieutenant Drakon dodged me and grabbed my legs. I struggled in his iron grip, wishing I had more strength. I tried to kick him, but he held me firmly. He then turned me upside-down and looked at me.
"That was easy," Lieutenant Drakon said, smirking "You're meant to be a Captain. You should be able to do better than that." I punched him in the nuts, but he didn't even flinch. If anything, it was my fist that hurt. Lieutenant Drakon chortled at my failed attempt to get him to let go. I hung there, unsure of what to do. I smacked him on the chin, but still he didn't move. I sighed, then started moving my legs. Well, attempting to, at least. However, I noticed that he was struggling to keep a grip on me, so I continued trying to break free like a wild animal caught in a trap.
Eventually, Lieutenant Drakon dropped me. I landed on my head, but nimbly did a forwards roll and stood up. I didn't want to give him a chance, so I charged at him. Lieutenant Drakon noticed, however, and punched me in the face, sending me flying. I landed on the ground with a THUD. I reacted quickly and stood up, recovering from the punch. My nose ached - I hoped I hadn't broken it. I dashed towards Lieutenant Drakon again, and jumped close to him. He didn't have much time to react, so my boots made contact with his right cheek. He fell backwards, and I skilfully landed next to him. Lieutenant Drakon groaned as he tried to get up. I pushed him back down again.
"See what happens when you underestimate a Captain?" I said, grinning. That taught him a lesson. "You should know better than this." After that Lieutenant Drakon lost consciousness. There was no way I could carry him, so I strode off, head held high. The victory had made me smug. For once, I'd had a challenge, and I'd been able to defeat him. I glanced back at Lieutenant Drakon, then continued to go have a celebratory vodka.
(And yeah... it was difficult to decide who should win, but I thought because Captain Lex was more agile and more experienced he would probably win. I know it's short, but I don't have time to write a proper story. By the way, Japan, have you set up the 1x1 thread yet? Sorry to nag, but I can't wait to start XD)
