Hawk used to be the head stallion of a wild herd in Nevada, but one day, an airplane flew to roundup the horse herd to kill them for more grazing for the nearest farm owner's farm animals. Hawk was the toughest one, and when they tied him up, he managed to escape. He tried to free the others, including his mate the lead mare, but he didn't succeed. He is the only known survivor of the incident, and still carries the rope around his neck as a trophy, searching for a new herd to lead far away from where his herd got captured.
