Meaning: Circle of light.

Lucerne. A name to bow down to, according to her at least. A magnificent name, often said with a snobbish tone. A name that is only worthy of one such as her. But do not be fooled by the silky sound of the name or it's meaning. For light can often hide the darkness within.

Although at a first glance you may be tricked into believing Lucerne is a benevolent deity, it's a mere illusion. Behind the facade lies a heart filled with deception.

She is a slacker, very rarely doing work herself. Instead, the cunning deer will manipulate others to do her work. She isn't above bribing, buffing, and even beguiling to get what she wants, but usually doesn't have to. Although her status as a deity certainly does her many favors, she is a very silver tongued deer.

Saying that she's vain is an understatement. Lucerne think's she is one of the most beautiful deers there is, and adores to look at herself. Extremely selfish, she's only looking out for herself. Any good deed isn't for the act itself, but the recognition of doing it. For that is another thing she loves, getting attention. She'll smile with glee when a festival is held for her, and get a smug pride when she's featured in mythology.

But for all these negative things, it is worth stating her good. Even when it is used the wrong way, she is very smart. Her schemes are always well thought out, and are very hard to poke holes in. Besides her wits, she's also very charismatic, and will always take the chance to use it to her advantage.

Although she seems like a great sister to the public, and even to her sister herself, her relationship is one of her greatest tricks. Indeed, she loathes her sister, with a passion greater then the sun itself.

Lucerne finds her sibling extremely pretentious. Another trait she hates about her is that she is a goody two-shoe type, from her protection of the skies to her hatred of wars. But what grates on her the most is her holier-than-thou tendencies, the goddess of the sun's hates on many things that Lucerne is.

So how could a goddess who is notoriously harsh on 'darkness, cruelty, and deceit' be fooled by Lucerne? Sometimes the trust of two sisters can even make a goddess question her judgement. For as long as they can remember, they had been close. Wherever one went, the other would often follow. As they grew older they didn't cling to each other as much, but that's just a part of growing up. Lucerne is always very careful as to not cross her, for she's smart enough to know one wrong move could ruin everything.
