that sounds fun!

Hanuka sounds fun too! I love being informed about different religions, it's great to learn.

Passover is actually a more significant holiday than Hanukkah, it just isn't as well known because it isn't as marketable. Passover celebrates when the Jewish people became free from enslavement under an Egyptian pharaoh. It's where the whole Moses talking to a burning bush and parting the sea comes from. Historical studies suggest none of it ever really happened, but it's still a holiday that involves a good deal of ceremony and reflection on the importance of freedom and equality, or at least it is in my family. It's fun, too, since there is a tradition where the kids get to basically hold everyone hostage and demand a ransom. XD I know that doesn't make sense out of context but it's hard to give an explanation without defining a lot of words. You might want to look it up if you want to know more, I don't want to get completely off-topic.

The difficulty is that most of the symbols related to it don't exactly translate well to cute designs. Somehow I can't picture pets themed after things like a lamb shank, roasted egg, or unleavened bread. There's wine, but I'm not sure that's appropriate for this site.

wow, I'm still very novice, even to christian history, I'm just so busy I can't study.

wine, I'm not sure if it would be entirely inappropriate, you might want to ask a mod though, just to be safe.

I will if it gets to that point and I haven't come up with anything else. And in case anyone who comes on here hasn't noticed, the auction for the civet coffee Teamaid is up. I'm also working on finding some affiliates, starting with other adoptable shop owners I am at least passingly familiar with. Hopefully a little extra advertising will help get more entries. :)

I noticed, I'm going to wait untill the first anonymous bid is posted, to see what people are willing to ay for her, before I get too hooked.

You might be waiting awhile. ^^; The shop is not very popular yet. I'm expecting maybe 3 people to bid if I'm lucky or very patient. I kind of jumped the gun having an auction on a relatively unknown shop, which is why I'm working on advertising more.

On a different note, I'm having trouble figuring out a price for the satyr. I don't want to go so high no one will buy them, but I also don't want to go so low that I'm not getting what something of that quality is worth.

hm. I'm not sure, you seem to be describing a happy middle ground. well, the teamaids are 3 for premades and the bettas are free for premades, so probably 2 uncommons for a premade and then base it off of that?

This place isn't popular? how can it not be!? it's amazing, maybe you should contact Willowbank Ponies or Double Tail Warrior Adopts, they might be interested in another ally, if you'd like a link to either of them, just PM me.

I'm really not sure. Asking for a quote on the thread for asking for help with art prices hasn't gotten me much help. :/ All I got was person saying a '09-'10 rare, which I would love but I'm sure that's too high given the minimal demand for humanoids.

My best guess on the popularity issue is simply that not many people look for shops to adopt things in that particular forum, but the User Made Adoptables forum specifically says that you're not supposed to put adoptables you charge for in that section. The only other place I see a lot of adopting going on is in the Oekaki, which I can't use for mine since they aren't drawn using Oekaki.

If you have some potential affiliates in mind by all means post or PM me the links, but I don't guarantee I'll try for it. I am a little picky in that I try to affiliate with shops that have decent quality art, a good chance of being successful and not getting abandoned, and have rules/policies I do not strongly disagree with. I also prefer if the owner has some sort of positive reputation around CS but that isn't absolutely necessary.

It seems the idea of a mascot for Mythicarium is pretty popular. I have an idea in mind, the question is how to go about it. Should I try to draw it myself, or hire an artist, or maybe have a contest with a custom pet as the prize?

you could use a really special dream-maid as the mascot, that'd be really cool, he/she should represent tranquility and peace, but, still be cool, a lily in the hair would look amazing, a white one, and she should have sorta light blonde hair, and creamy skin, but not so white that it hurts your eyes, and her tail should have vines twisting up it, ivy vines, you know? that'd be really cool, but, it'd also take a lot of work, so in the end, it's up to you.
