Melodypaw set the squirrel in front of him. "The she-cat's name was Draftpaw. You wouldn't know how it felt, letting me wither and basically die while He said Goodbye to me. It was the most thing I would ever regret." she sighed.

Apprentices den. He just woke up with a bloody ear from fighting Snowtuft)

Mosspaw padded to the apprentice's den ins search of Sootpaw. "Sootpaw!" She gasped, her eyes landing on the blood. "What happened? Was there a thorn in your nest?"

Sootpaw lifted his head, hitting his head, ears, and torn ear on bramble-roof. "Mouse-dung!" He cursed, holding his paw on his ear. "hu- Oh, Hey Mosspaw!" He meowed, licking the blood splatter off his paw pad. "It's time I told you something." He sighed.

Something about how he said it made Mosspaw's heart drop. "W-What is it?" She asked, suddenly unsure if she wanted to know or not.

"Please Understand.." He prayed, finally speaking. "While you were c-choosing between the two of us... I was recruited into the dark forest. Pplease forgive me! I told Snowtuft I would never go back- And I haven't! I even just had a fight with him to prove I was done with the dark forest." He promised, warily lowering his head in shame.
