Pompeii "Ash" Kīlauea
Pompeii is a famous volcano, and Kīlauea is an active volcano in Hawaii. He's commonly called Ash, however, due to his name (first or last) being constantly mispronounced or forgotten. He figures the shorter "Ash" is much easer to remember.

Ash absolutely adores volcanoes.
Ironically volcanoes play a huge roll in the ocean. Volcanic vents and volcanic eruptions cause new islands to form and temperature to move as freely as the water it affects. Despite the vast beauty and grace of the sea- what Ash loves the most is spending time with his friends at the coastline. His closest friend, Tropicana- a bartender and surfer by trade- spends almost all his time at the beach. Ash had his doubts about visiting the tide, however Trop can be… very persuasive, from time to time. Once he started visiting, he found it a bit difficult to stop. Long, easygoing evenings with friends at the sandbar were priceless to him. Ironically Ash had hydrophobia prior to his constant ocean ventures, and while he's still deathly afraid of the ocean he admires it's beauty and hopes to one day be able to swim in it without his fear holding him back. Ash is also bound to the sea by a hobby of his, collecting seashells and making jewelry out of them. He enjoys beading, carving, sculpting and painting various shells to make a large assortment of bracelets, necklaces, earrings and other items. Ash sells them for a fair price, or will in turn accept shells as a form of payment so he can continue to make lovely jewelry for everyone to enjoy.

She finds these creatures fascinating, but most people know very little about them. She finds them intriguing, how scary looking they are and how there could be many undiscovered species could just be down there waiting for someone to find them. Her dream is to discover a brand new species of deep water fish to share with the world.

What is his favourite part about the ocean?

All the life. It's blossoming with life. Fish, whales, dolphins, crabs, seals, sharks, rays, sea horses, squid, and the list keeps going. He loves it. It is amazing that we know more about the moon than we do our own ocean, and it's on our own planet. Reef loves to watch everything just enjoy living.
He also enjoys watching the coral and the seaweed, because they're alive too. The clown fish dart out and in them, while they just wave along. He thinks that's amazing. He also loves playing with dolphins. They're so much fun to be with, and funny too!
