I walk over to the camouflage part of the training centre. I quietly look around for paints and other materials. I smile and hope nobody is watching, I pick up the brush and start painting a leaf pattern along my face. My secret pleasure at hope was painting.

"Boo." Midnight chuckled as the she-cat who was painting a leaf on her face jumped. He melted out of the shadows. He didnt need much paint. He was pitch-black already.

Crystal jumped "wha!?" she exclaims. she drops the paint. She turns to afce him

"I'm Midnightflash... but cats don't call me that if they want to live." He bared his teeth and hissed. He laughed then meowed "Just kidding. But I go by Midnight. What's your name?" He asked the she-cat.

"CrystalHeart," She says smiling "but everyone calls me Crystal." She bows her head "which District are you from?"

"Three. You?" He asks. Midnight stretches and yawns. It was almost Moon-High. "You see, I don't need that." He nods his head at the paint. "When it's night I just seem... To disappear."

"I'm from nine," She says smiling "you're pelt really does blend in." She says circling him "very dark. Unlike mine." She watches him smiling

"Yes." He laughed "I can be as dark as... well midnight! Wanna see?" He asked.

Crystal smiles "sure," she says
"I sort of blend into... Anything white."

Midnight smiled and walked under a part of the training area with no light. He completely disappeared. "Ta-Da!" He meowed reappearing right next to her. "I'm sorry to say I must go, goodnight."
