Sparkstep looked up at the tom with pain evident in her eyes. "I don't want you for kits. In case you can't understand this somebody might actually like you." She said more harsh then she meant to as her sides heaved heavily. "My mother died... Last night. She was killed. My brother that I thought was dead came and told me that someone killed her." She said as salty tears rolled down her calico main coon fur.

He nuzzled her. "I never had any family. removed my mother died kitting me."

Sparkstep nuzzled into his neck softly. "My father and now mother were both killed." She said softly with a hard swallow.
