Know what annoys me? The influx of "teen romance" and "vampire romance" RPs.. :<

Last I checked, vampires had named like Barlow and nommed on the citizens of a Maine town and turn priests into their slaves.. ('Salem's Lot, Stephen King. Best book ever.)

And teen romance is too sentimental. I don't understand how anyone can find saying "Iloveyou" through a fictional character and virtually kissing the character of someone who might be some kinky middle aged man could possibly be fun... Or am I just that cold?

And all these RPs based off book series and TV shows.. Percy Jackson, Guardians of Ga-Whatever, Avatar: TLA.. Sure, I've read them, but how could anyone find entertainment in such an over-used, unoriginal setting such as that?

... Whatever.

Another thing that annoys me. No one joins semi-literate and above RPs unless it's some frigging romance. All the zombie RPs and other things I actually enjoy have posts like; "Such-and-such grabbed her guitar and smiled."

Whatever happened to literacy? When I first came to CS there were actually people who could make a decent paragraph without useless fluff and filler. -mutters-

I agree, all of these Role Plays are becoming worse and worse. Why is every one so obsessed with the "kind and funny, but tough if you get on her bad side" characters and the "sad and lonely" guys? I mean, why not a bratty female and a vain male? It is so annoying, I just quit human RPs because of it. I haven't done one since this awesome Steampunk on another site, and even then my character was a Stalker, a sort of monster/robot thing made out of old technology. The good human roleplays already have 70 pages, and I don't think I can read through that without a very good re-cap. The wolf roleplays can be worse, but there are still some good ones out there if you know where to look. I will leave for a few days to see my granparents or something and I come back and there are fifty more posts, ;___;

I know. I can usually only get on CS on Fridays and Saturdays, I'm sure if I joined one of those RPs I would be fifty pages behind in one week. :<

Oh, and stereotypes, I forgot. "Shy but flirty," "Looking for that special someone to fill the void in their heart." Gag me. The exact reason I stopped RPing all together aside from a few one on one RPs. Makes me want to make a "future school shooter" character. >>

I know, right? I don't join an RP if it has more than thirty posts, as it usually has a healthy base and there's rarely a place to join in.. x.x

A few are pretty good, but people use "semi-lit" as another word for "illiterate", no offense to the good semi-lit role plays out there of course. I had a good wolf RP running for a while, I got one annoying player who after being corrected said something along the lines of "Fin, if, u dnt wnt me, im leving." My response was, roughly "Okay bye!" Well, not quite like that, but you get the idea. I want to Role Play, really I do, but it just seems it is taking the road of books, the Teen Romances attract all of the attention and the better ones get over looked. If any one knows of a low post, non-romance RP I am fine.
I also just don't feel comfortable in romance RPs, you can tell with a lot of the characters that they think you are their boyfriend/girlfriend, so if your character breaks up with them they have a panic attack and report you. I joined a really good animal RP a while back, I played a rather insane hyena and tormented every one's characters by making up rhymes about them. The best thing was that there was very little plot otherwise, so it is up to me to make sure they are kept on their toes by summoning a larger pack, stealing their food and kidnapping their cubs from under their noses!

I don't understand why all animal RP's these days are either Warriors, or wolves. Come ON people, be a little creative for once in your boring lives! DX I mean, I've at least tried. I had a lion romance RP that lasted awhile, but it obviously died. Then, a bear RP that got going but then just dropped.

I personally dont mind warrior cats rps... but only if they have a decent plot, dont have to do with the origional clans, and are interesting.
But why are there so many wolf romance rps? that annoys me.

I think the reason there are so many is because many people know them and its easy to find members.

I hate it when you bother to make a tidy, well-thoughtover semi-lit rp and no one joins.

I hate it when you do that, get a bunch of members, and then suddenly it feels too awkward to RP.

Agreed P: Or when you get so man characters, and then only three people actually roleplay.

I've officially lost faith in the majority CS roleplayers. . . And now I'm worried for the sake of CS roleplaying in general.

My rant: How I've found roleplayers are looked down upon, especially in CS. I don't know, it just seems I'm always looked down on when I say something about 'my roleplays' or 'in one of my roleplays' ect. You know?

I've decided to stop RPing on CS. Dx
I'll continue with the couple of ones I'm in, but I'm not joining anymore. ;o;

I think the RP scene on CS is far to small to really be able to support a good RPing community.
On Gaia there are literally hundreds of people RPing and it's pretty easy to find a good RP. But on CS, there's so few little RPers, and even less good roleplayers. That can be a plus, having a small, but good group of RPers, but everyones interested in different things; so no one joins anyone elses RP's because they aren't interested. I've seen the CS RP scene get a lot of good RPers down and turn them off RPing altogether, simply because it's not very well developed.

I mean, there are some really great RPers on this site, and I'm glad to have roleplayed along side them at one time or another, but it's just not worth all the bullsh** I have to wade through just to find something half decent, only to have to die a week later because not enough people joined or they joined and never post.

I'll stick to Gaia, though it'll be sad to stop RPing along your guys side<3 D;

UGGGGH, SO MUCH AGREEMENT IS TRYING TO FLOW FROM MY BODYYY.
And I;'ve actually seen a lot of Bratty females, they're very prolifict. xD
I'd like to see a two-faced female for once. xD

And Vain Male, would a female cross-dressing as a male that is exceedingly vain and arrogant fit under that?

... They only put semi-literate because "illiterate" in a title is a bit of a turn off. xD It annoys me though, when I see something that interests me with "semi-lit" in the title and the first sentence sounds something like this;

... Really. Typing out "you" and "to" is not that hard.

You are right there, if you make a wolf romance you can almost say for certain that people will join, but frequently people put quantity over quality. You will get lots of roleplayers, but will you get good roleplayers? I admit it would be fun to go into some newbish RP with a male character and make a plot actually happen, death threats, poisoning, cub stealing, you name it. We are the disturbers of the peace! Otherwise we would just be sitting around. Warrior cat RPs I usually steer clear of, they are the whole reason so many RPs are very fanciful. People just make warrior cat versions of wolves and call clans packs, original, no? Lion roleplays are pretty cool, but who wants to play a small, prey animal when you could be a big cat or a wolf. A rat roleplay would be worth my time, but not many people would join.
