The Silver Bow Basin has always held wolves. As per most populations of any animals, the numbers of the wolves have risen and fallen with the times. A high number of caribou would result in a high number of wolves, while a bitter winter would usually end with a few less in the packs. In the recent years, the Earth has been kind to the Silver Bow packs. Kind enough for them to spread out far, rarely running into each other. Peace was rare, as there was always skirmishes, alliances forming and crumbling much like the river banks. As of late though, and uneasy feeling has fallen over all of the packs. Almost like something is impending, a certain doom for all the packs. Some call it nonsense, claiming that the others just always need something to worry about. Others, however, note the odd weather patterns of hot and cold. Freezing one night, and warm the next. None of them know why the hair on their napes stand on end, but they will surely soon find out.

The Silver Bow Basin is a vast landscape. It would have to be in order to support the wolf population it holds. A river runs through the centre of the valley, although it is never immensely deep, as the dam at the top holds back almost all of the water. Humans built it ages ago, but it has since been left alone. The dam is what brought the basin into existence, as it stops the water from flooding the valley. The valley moves into others, as they basin is situated in a mountain range that was created by the same river many years ago. The wolves have since spread out, although most of them have grown up in Silver Bow, and never venture out of the valley they know and love. The valley is often fertile, bringing enough prey up to sustain the populations.

This is not a conventional roleplay. What do I mean by that? Well, for starters, there is a limited amount of spots available. Thirty, to be exact. But that is not rare at all. No, what is odd is that you will not be the one creating any of those thirty characters. I have already written them all up, everything from their gender, to rank, to even their mates and crushes and personalities. Why did I do this, instead of giving you all free reign to create your own characters? This will challenge you, make you plan a character you possibly never would have thought of or attempted. How will you choose which one you want? You will send me a private message with up to three numbers. You will not know what wolf corresponds to those numbers, but I will send you back your new wolf. You will still have to write a form up for them, and you can expand on their personalities and the likes.

Now, something I do want you to do is talk to your fellow roleplayers. There is a discussion thread, and the link has been posted. When you learn about your wolf, I want you to think about how they would think and react to something. I know what wolves I have (obviously), so I will guide you in the beginning. This is going to help you get to know others, this is going to make it so we all have to talk to each other, and this is going to make things really interested (what, you honestly didn’t think I would make boring characters, did you?). However, because I do not want people to have two alphas, or two betas, or a majority of anything (ranks, genders, etc), it is possible I will ask you to choose a different number.
In due course, everything will be revealed. Until the wolf is chosen and the form is posted however, you will not know anything about it.

Since War of the Seasons, I know a few have asked if I am going to do something similar, so here we go. Thank you to dakotaawolven for helping me come up with the original concept/plotline for this particular roleplay.

Packs fall apart and form depending on how many wolves are in the area. For the past few years, however, there have been five sustained packs that have found their particular niches among the others. Named based on their geographical location, they are as follows…

___

Evergreens Pack - This pack is known for its amazing hunters. These wolves seem to be the best at tracking and finding their prey -- particularly at night. Especially nocturnal, they seem to operate better during the night hours than the day. They live in the evergreen forest that is near the big dam.
      Alpha: Wren
      Beta: Kinumyth

      Hunter: Raven
      Hunter: Raiko
      Fighter: Eira

      Omega: Blitz

Plains Pack - Situated in the flattest part of the valley, this pack is known for its more just ways. It was the last pack to be formed, made mostly of scapegoats who have grown it into a cohesive unit that is respected. Unlike the rest of the packs, they have no omega, as they do not believe any wolf should be disrespected by their peers.
      Alpha: Maverick
      Beta: Aurora

      Hunter: Faolan
      Fighter: Annabelle
      Hunter: Eiyota
      Fighter: Eva

Foothills Pack - These wolves tend to be as rough as the land they have settled on. The rocky crags and steep foothills make these wolves very muscular. However, it is said that their very hearts have been chilled, as they tend to be very aggressive. The terrain has also made them incredibly strong, making these wolves some of the best fighters. Unfortunately, the terrain also makes it so prey is a bit harder to find, so these wolves are also some of the biggest bullies.
      Alpha: Adin
      Beta: Robyn

      Fighter: Breeze
      Fighter: Xavier
      Fighter: Rain Storm

      Omega: Cuan

River Pack - This pack has made its home along the edges of the river. Most of them are very strong swimmers, able to propel their bodies through the water with ease. Usually known for their peace and secluded ways, this pack is currently experiencing discord internally, as its alpha has passed away, leaving its older beta to have to appoint a new one as well as learn his new role within his pack.
      Alpha: Sobek
      Beta: -undecided-

      Hunter: Horatio
      Fighter: Trigger
      Hunter: Hazel
      Fighter: Avery

      Omega: Brooke

Icecap Pack - Some areas of the valley never really lose its snow, as the area never really gets that warm. This pack has made its home in one of the more unforgiving areas. The oldest pack in the valley, they live at a higher elevation that the rest, making them some of the best climbers. With impeccable balance, they do not fear the rocky crags where they live, as they have grown up among it. This pack strictly adheres to tradition, and is the only one to hold the archaic position of delta.
      Alpha: Crystal
      Beta: Aiyana
      Delta: Crow

      Hunter: Lysander
      Fighter: Elliot

      Omega: Larka

This is a semi-lit/literate roleplay, therefore I expect a minimum of four well-built paragraphs that include proper grammar and spelling. I expect your posts to include both quantity and quality.

When posting your forms, make them somewhat detailed. Forms typically express the roleplayer’s literacy, so please put an effort in it. They do not need to be fancy as far as coding goes. Remember to only include one photo or link of your character. Image theft is NOT tolerated.

OOC should be saved for the discussion thread; spamming the thread with random talk will be discouraged. If you feel the need to say something on the actual thread, make it a part of your post.

When posting, make sure to take your signature off so the thread remains clean and neat looking. No posting images or links in your post; if you feel the need to share something through photos or links, share it on the discussion thread. (If you haven't noticed yet, OOC on the roleplay thread is a pet peeve.)

When it comes to wolves mating, please fade to black or time-skip. Also, no force breeding. As well, no gore or extreme violence. Yes, they will be injured, no we do not need the grim, gruesome details of said injury.

No perfect or godly characters, meaning that every wolf has a flaw and they don’t have the super strength needed to completely control another roleplayer’s character.

Follow all of Tess’s roleplaying rules; I will not tolerate anyone breaking these rules. This can be considered a zero tolerance police in fact, which means one and done.

No fighting with other roleplayers, if you have a problem with somebody then deal with it over PM or contact me, bel racat, so we all can handle it without losing two roleplayers in the process.

Stick to the plot! If you have an idea for a twist in the plot, share it on the discussion thread.

If you join, stay active. I don’t want this roleplay dying only because the roleplayers who join suddenly have no interest in it. If you want to leave the roleplay, PM me, I wont be upset (I'll even write an awesome death scene for your character so that you know that no one else will be playing them.)

Some have their roles thrust upon them, but others are groomed for them their entire lives. Wren is a member of the latter group. Always her mother and father groomed their pups to know that they were true leaders. Residents of the Evergreen pack, their blood ran thick through the packs veins. They prepped their children for everything, even getting them politically advantageous mateships. Even after her fathers untimely death, and her mothers passing a few short moons later, it was not surprising that Wren was given the spot of beta at a young age. What was surprising is when the alpha passed as well. Wet behind the ears, Wren was promoted to the highest position, something she was not ready for a comfortable with at all. It hit her all at once, realizing that despite all that she had been given...a rank, a mate, a future, she never felt more out of depth and alone. Still rather immature and green, she is trying to find her way in her role and her own life. Turning a blind eye to her unfaithful mates ways, trying not to rely on the beta many warn her about (an old friend of her fathers, he was), the only person she finds she can trust is her sister. And that is not a life such a young wolf should be stuck with.

Negatives: manipulative, ambitious, temperamental

Temper runs through the Foothills pack like water flows through the river. Which is why when most wolves meet Breeze, they are often thrown off by how nice she seems. With a sweet, innocent smile, she is a drop dead beauty who can stun any wolf with her kindness and looks. On the smaller side, the question usually comes up how she became a fighter. Her reputation precedes her in most of the packs, how the beautiful fae would just as quickly spill your blood. Perhaps that is a flaw for her, but at the same time, maybe it is how she survives. Although she has a respectful way about her, it was how she was brought up, when things get going, she has a temper to burn all others. Respect the alpha, defend the pack. It has been drilled into since she was a pup. However, it turned her into what one may consider a femme fatal. Manipulative, that sweetness she has falls away like leaves from a tree. Breeze is an ambitious fae who's most recent sites have been turned upon the fact that she would not only be a better Beta than their current one, but also a better mate to Adin. With them together, nothing would be able to stop them. Now she just needed to have everyone else see that. As the best fighter in all the valley, it is only a matter of time before the quiet, beautiful wolf finally positions herself where she wants to be. Her views are a bit more extreme. She was not rise high. And not just an alphaess, but a queen. A queen of a united valley, and she'll need a strong mate by her side.

Pack: plains
Rank: alpha
Family: crushing on Aurora
Number: 21
Positives: protective, caring, easy going
Negatives: lonely, withdrawn, self-sacrificing

They say that those at the top are the loneliest. Maverick never believed in that saying, not until he himself was truly on top. He should have seen it coming though, as he had been the one to openly rebel. Maverick was the one who formed the Plains Pack, as he did not fit in to the Foothill's idea of a perfect wolf. His mother had told him from a young age that he was a rebel, and sure enough, she was proven right. Now, he tries to create a safe haven for those who feel like outcasts in their own pack. They have to work to keep their way, and he doesn't let the packs population get too big, but he tries to protect all those brave enough to defy their fates. Maverick is very protective of those in his pack, therefore shielding them from his own problems. He puts up a good front, trying to keep everyone happy that things are well. Maverick is probably the most relaxed alpha when it comes to the other packs. He has no problem interacting with them, or letting his pack interact. He tries to make friends, as he is more fond of peace than conflict. He got his fair share of war in his past pack, he has no desire to bring that down upon his pack. The one thing he feels guilty about is his secret little crush on Aurora, his Beta. He appointed her before feelings developed, but it eats at him a little that history is almost repeating itself. In his last pack, the Alpha and Beta where a mated pair, and part of him thinks that may have been the reason for some conflicts. Therefore, although he admires her greatly, he tends to try to do it from afar. Maybe one day, he will allow himself to open up to her.

number; 9
Cuan is an omega due to being the runt of the litter, he has stayed with his brothers in this too scared to leave, but always felt left out by them. Being a runt and being slightly below average in height he does have a lot of muscle due to his home, in fact above average strength and muscle and is a rather handsome wolf, having a very colourful coat.

number; 26
Eiyota is a tall and muscular wolf, he is very intelligent and a very strategically minded wolf who can figure out all the best angles to hunt and attack, thinking himself as the unofficial lead hunter of the pack. Due to this and the fact he is a confidant of the alpha, he does get rather arrogant and bossy. Though he is an especially good looking wolf, a chocolate coat being rare as well as his tall lean physic.

number; 19
She has always been treated as an important person and it has gone to her head a little as she is described as a spoilt brat, she cant loose an she must get her own way in things, not liking to be told what to do and not do and therefore being very stubborn and rebellious towards this. Also described as naive sometimes despite her age.

Trigger is a hopeless romantic; he just wants everyone to get along and stop arguing over who will be Beta. Though he is doing his best to bring peace he can be a bit air headed and the others tend not to bother listening to his ideas--most of the time even he agrees they're silly. He doesn't think he will be chosen for the Beta position, as he's often wandering off and forgetting what he's supposed to be doing, which makes him a poor hunter. He is a skilled fighter though, being slightly above average size for a wolf and able to take down impressive opponents. Trigger will protect those important to him with his life, and usually comes out of the battle without grievous injuries. As he is part of the River Pack he has been swimming since he was a pup, and though his larger size can be somewhat of a hinderance to his speed in the water he is a strong swimmer with a lot of endurance. Trigger prefers his own company while staying within hearing range of the pack. He often goes off on his own to laze and hunt small game if it crosses his path. He preferred the old alpha, as discord in his brethren was less then and the times more peaceful. It's not like him to notice the changes, and he is unconcerned with the rumors, preferring to face his fate when it meets him.

Mated to Avery (22)
Twin to Aurora (5)
SPACEHoratio is a little wolf, tall and lanky with long legs and a narrow body, making him quite quick on his feet. His amber and russet pelt is rough and sheds water easily, and his big paws make him an excellent swimmer as well as a runner. He can almost always be found near the river that his pack calls home, either fishing for salmon or lying in wait for prey that has come down to drink.
SPACEA fantastic hunter and a stalwart pack-member, Horatio is an integral member of the River Pack. Unfortunately, the rest of the pack doesn't always seem to see it that way. He occasionally feels a bit under appreciated, and would love to have a little bit more recognition for the hard work he puts in to help feed the pack, but at the same time, if he really takes the time to think about it, those thoughts just make him feel guilty. After all, it is his job as a hunter to bring home game, and doing so well should be its own reward.
SPACEHoratio is mated to the love of his live, the beautiful fighter Avery. In her, he sees all the strength and poise he wished he possessed, and as such, holds her in the highest esteem. There is nothing he would not do for her, but unfortunately some of the same insecurities that rise up with his duties as a hunter lead him to feel somewhat inadequate, and he sometimes worries about loosing her to a stronger, more capable wolf.
SPACEDespite all of his worries and occasional lack of esteem, there is always one wolf who can make him smile, and that is his twin sister, Aurora. Ever since the two were pups, she had always been the stronger of the two, and her carefree nature and sensitive and intelligent mind has always been able to uplift his spirits. Though she is now Beta of the Plains Pack, he still makes time to seek her out so that they may talk once an awhile.

SPACEAnnabelle, or Ellie as she is known to those close to her, is a lovely golden wolf with eyes the color of lightly tarnished silver. A bit larger than most, she stands tall and is strongly built, her physique reflecting her role as a fighter for the Plain's Pack. Some might call her beautiful, and though the claim embarrasses her somewhat, Ellie is not one to correct them.
SPACEFor a fighter, and a good one at that, Ellie is remarkably kind hearted and will always go out of her way to see that the other members of her pack are happy. Her open nature and genuine kindness are sometimes misinterpreted by others and she has a bit of reputation of being a flirt. This is completely unintentional though, and when it comes to matters of love, she tends to trip of her own words and becomes easily embarrassed.
SPACEOriginally born to the Foothills Pack, Ellie's good nature and kindness had not always been appreciated. The skilled fighters of that rocky land saw the potential in her, and taught her how to be dispassionate, and size up her opponents objectively. These lessons were learned well, and she isn't afraid to get her paws dirty, especially if it means keeping her pack safe. The Foothills Pack never was able to completely stamp out her kind-hearted ways though, and when she learned of the just and fair nature of the Plains Pack, she sought them out, wanting to be somewhere where all pack-members were treated fairly.

Crow | Number 12 & Crystal | Number 29

Postby shade. » Sat Aug 30, 2014 12:53 pm

I guess I'm not fun or happiness all day

But life is just a annoying game to play

When it's over I'll be glad

And all of you will be far from mad

Oooh life ain't no ride for the faint of heart

______________________________________________________

The one and only delta... Number twelve!

Gender; Brute

Age; Around 5

Rank; Delta of The Icecap Pack

Family; 19, 28, and 4

Crush; Not currently.

Good Traits; It's rather debatable. Most would say he doesn't have any good traits, and he doesn't think he has them himself. I guess that he is very good at making comebacks and tearing other's happiness down to anger or distress. The one good thing out of this is that he is very independent and smart and doesn't rely on anyone else.

Bad Traits; Crow is a generally negative wolf. He is often a pessimist and doesn't think before he talks. He picks fights and disrupts peace with his irritating manner and trash talk. His grumpiness goes beyond most any others. He doesn't seem to think that anything is important but himself.

I wish that all you could seriously look at life how it is, instead of as a wonderful happy peace treaty for crying out loud!

History- W. I. P. Need to talk to siblings

Crow is a gray, black, and white wolf. His fur isn't in a pattern at all, it simply splays through those colors everywhere. For this reason, his pelt looks a lot like mixed patchwork, although his underbelly is mostly white. Three dark gray spikes coat his face. One runs down his muzzle, the other two are practically symmetrical on the sides of his eyes. His eyes actually are a silver gray, unlike most wolves. If Crow coats himself in snow, he has a distinct advantage in hunting than the others, because he's barely visible.

Crystal Number 29
______________ ______________

Gender; Fae

Age; 7 Years

Rank; Crystal is the proud Alpha of the
Icecap Pack

Family; She has a ex-mate in number 25,
whom she drove out of the pack to take control. Before
that time, she had two pups, 6 and 22.

Crush; Crystal wouldn't take the time to have a
crush. In fact, it would probably seem to be a
distraction
in her eyes.

Good Traits; This fae is very smart and
forward. If needed, she an always be trusted
to take control.
She is one of the best hunters
in the valley, almost always bringing home a kill. For
both good and bad, she finds tradition and a
on task attitude more important than anything else.
She won't and does not appreciate 'nonsense'. In fact, she
won't even consider putting up with it.

Bad Traits; Crystal doesn't see the value in new
things
. Many times she can be overly stubborn
and drive her pack into hunger or wars simply because she
will not give in. In all truth, everything she does eventually
ends up alright.. But sometimesthere are unnecessary
causalities.

____________ ______________________ ____________
Image

There is a specific reason for why I do things, and that reason is beyond your comprehension. So just don't question me.

Crystal is the dominant and non-forgiving alpha of the Icecap Pack. She was born to a mother and a father, like all other wolves. Two major differences-one, her mother died in birth, two, from a young age, her father encouraged her to be more than just a hunter, more than just a fighter. Of course, he was thinking a little lower than her. He encouraged the rank of beta's mate, or delta's mate. Crystal though, had something bigger on her mind. She wished to be alpha, and she wished to have the position all to herself.
Later in life, she ended up Beta. She worked hard and relentlessly. No one could complain of her slacking off. Eventually she herself had two pups, 6 and 22. The alpha died of sickness, and she gratefully accepted the role.
After a time, she decided she wanted to rule the pack as her own, so she drove her mate (25) out. Since then she has been a strict, well put together, traditional alpha. She has lead her pack through thick and thin, using both her fanominal hunting skills and no-nonsense attitude. Her lithe but strong build helps her hunt as one of the best. Some would say that she almost has a puppy-like build and face that isn't as awkward. She herself would disagree with that one.
Crystal, with her snowy cream and white pelt and stunningly blue eyes is one of the prettiest wolves in the pack. She though, has no interest whatsoever in a mate or more pups. She loves her pups and was actually a good mother, just after they grew up she treated them like any other wolf. She doesn't wish to have a 'distraction', however nice it is, in her life at the moment.
