Tareh Mafi, Shatter Me wrote:“The moon is a loyal companion.
It never leaves. It’s always there, watching, steadfast, knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do. Every day it’s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human.
Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections.”
Name:Alkmene
Gender:Male
Alkmene, the god of the moon. He changes with the moon, sometimes strong and steadfast, sometimes weak and frail. He's a loyal friend, and never breaks his promises.
You may know of many rumors and sayings involved with the moon. That magic is best preformed on the full moon, when the god's mysterious energy is humming through the air. You might of heard people say 'once in a blue moon' or of solar eclipses. You might wonder why the moon controls the tides, when the sea goddess is so protective of her domain.
I am here to answer these questions.

Forever changing
Waxing and waning
Sending your light upon the Earth
Hail Alkmene!
He who gives us light
In the endless dark of the night
I've created a poem
To wrap up this form
I hope you don't mind
(And that I get a 4/4)
☾
Alkmene is his name
A guy, not a girl
My story isn't quite the same
As the one of the goddess of seas
☾
You see, they're in love
(Alkmene and Ianthe)
Head over heels
Though the end is rather sad.
☾
Oh dear a spoiler
Didn't mean to let that one slip
But I guess that's it
For this little poem
☾
I hope that I win
Alkmene and Ianthe
Why? Well, no reason....
(To ship them with ease)
The Love of the Sea
It was a half moon, and Alkmene was currently teen form. He walked along the shores of the ocean, sadly noting the litter scattered on the beach. "Humans." He snarled under his breath. They were why the deersserts had gone into hiding. If the narrow-minded bipeds ever found out about them....
"May Kismetra help us." He murmured, invoking the name of the goddess of Fate.
Alkmene looked up. Something was wrong. For a moment, he was puzzled, then realized that the waves had stopped. "Well, that's odd." He remarked, stepping closer.
The waters trembled, then a figure appeared from the depths of the sea. She was half covered in scales, he noticed, and her back resembled the reflective surface of water.
He took a step forward, and watched curiously when she made an odd clicking noise, before taking a step towards him. Then he saw her eyes and, with a jolt, realized that she was blind.
"Hello." She said.
"Hello." He replied. "What...what were you doing in the ocean?" He inquired. The sea had been moody recently, waves crashing against all the shores and rising up angrily every time one of the deersserts stepped closer. That this deerssert had been in there without having a single problem was intriguing.
"I rule this place." She said confidently.
Alkmene drew back, startled. Ruler?
"You..." The faintest glow was coming from the ocean. "Wh-"
The waves suddenly reared up over her head, the glow intensified and a delicate golden crown dropped onto the deerssert's head. There were several mother-of-pearls imbedded in it, and it gleamed in the moonlight. The water splashed back into the ocean, but another spout of water made itself into the shape of a trident. Another glow, and it turned the color of gold, completely solid.
"The sea agrees." He said, taken aback.
"It does? What's on my head?" She made another clicking noise, directed at the trident. After a moment, she turned to him. "Well?"
And he explained.
...
"That's a lot to take in." Ianthe said.
"Don't worry, I'll help you."
He didn't even realize he'd said the words until they wears out of this mouth.

It was difficult, the first few months. Ianthe had a hard time keeping track of everything. (He didn't blame her, taking care of the moon was one thing, but managing the seas? That was new territory.)
