He looked up at Flamewing, his pupils unusually in very thin slits. Flintfoot's fur was spiked and his eyes filled with pain and regret.

Seeing the way Flintfoot looked, her hind paw took a step back, but she didn't move any further. She had to stay strong! Shivering, she brought her hind paw back up, and even took a step forward. "Flintfoot? Everything's going to be ok." She said softly, trying not to let her voice crack.
