I have seen like, WAY too many on this site. Also a bunch on what seems to be every social network...
Im tired of them GOD DANGIT.
They are SOOOO easy to spot... I just, I have lost my ability to even.
Why would someone fake about liking something.....I don't know...
Do people think that its cool or something...
A lot of the people that I know that are not into anime, they are soooo judgmental.
Just those looks that you get in the school hallways when you're wearing your fandom clothes.
You know, we have those. The t-shirts, bracelets, and all that stuff that shows who we are and what we like.
The stuff that only close friends get. Then there are the constant conversations that go on with you and your friends that like, no one else gets. The characters, the feels, THE ANNNNNNGGGGEERRRRRRR. Dang.
THEN THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO PRETEND TO BE A PART OF THAT WHEN THEY ARENT. THE STUPID PEOPLE WHO POST STUFF THAT THEY DONT EVEN KNOW ABOUT. WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO GO THROUGH...
YOU CANT JUST... Ugh.

Once again questioning how many people know that term actually has a lot of NEGATIVE connotations in Japan (such as how Americans use the term 'weeb') and it's not something you want to classify yourself as.

Having you know, lived in Tokyo, and actually gone to the country to enjoy the traditional culture and not just the popular media, and having been in places like Akihabara I can say this for certain.

It's not really a term you want to associate with.

Though, on the other hand, the people who use it unironically actually do fit the definition.

Also Akihabara, fun as it is, can be overwhelming and uncomfortable.

But I will say that arcades are extremely enjoyable and addicting and also very money consuming
