Our world- Terca Lumereis. A world run by mechanisms known as blastia and ruled by vicious and sometimes gentle monsters. The only thing keeping our cities safe are the barrier blastia, guilds, and the Imperial Knights. With these new....additions-humans, /creatures/- civilians are concerned...but not afraid. We welcome kinds of all types into our cities, whether you are animal, Krityan, human, or any other race. However, if you pose a threat...

Rules
1. I may not be online too much; school starts Monday. So, you can go as far as you want without me, just be prepared to give me a repost of any replies to my characters. Recaps aren't necessary unless you feel different. c:
2. Okay, /please/, do not give your characters super amazing incredible looks/powers/anything. It's considered having a Mary/Gary Sue and no one likes it. If your character has any powers, also, PM me about them. This world is very picky and I can easily make those powers work if you just tell me ahead of time.
3. If you saw that little face in the first rule, put it in 'Other' to show that you actually read my rules.
4. Romance and drama are /definitely/ encouraged! Death, as well! Just be sure the other person is okay with any of it. And while we're on the topic of romance- yuri and [censored] aren't just accepted- they're encouraged! Don't be afraid to do it!
5. Be kind to others and use ;;, (), or {{ (Any kind of thing to show me you're in OOC) so I don't confuse your posts with your OOC.
6. It would be incredibly beneficial toward you if you read my explanation on the city's layout- I don't want to have to embarrass you by correcting you on something.
7. My co-owner is flynn scifo, my sister. Do not disrespect her. She has just as much authority as I do, so that means if she tells you that you aren't accepted because of a form mistake or you can't do something, check up on it before you snap back.
8. These are subject to change, but for now, enjoy!
9. I had this in rule 4, but it wasn't easy to see- Don't date yourself, please!
10. Okay- no guns, phones, //anything modern//. This is a place that still uses horse-creatures(Quietta) for transportation and couriers for message-delivering. That includes advanced weaponry.

The City- as we know it
The capital city of Zaphias is also one of the largest in the world. There are three levels as well- the Royal Quarter, where nobles and figures of Royalty reside, the Public Quarter, where middle-classmen live, and finally, the Lower Quarter- where many civilians live in poverty. In the Lower Quarter there is an Inn where many of the citizens of the Lower Quarter spend time and eat, but there is still plenty of space. In the Public Quarter, shops and many friendly citizens reside and will provide newcomers with anything they need. Finally...it is best to stay out of the Royal Quarter, where any citizens not of nobility will be scorned and considered unworthy of treading their ground. This world does not have cars, cell phones, or anything the modern day has. People fight with swords, axes, maces, spells, and artes-which will be explained.
As for blastia...
Blastia are mechanisms powered by their cores that use a substance in the air called-well, aer. Upon absorbing aer, it converts it into energy used for keeping water steady and flowing in a fountain-the Lower Quarter's aque blastia, for example-, magical energy for combat- which are Bodhi blastia-, or for creating barriers or lights or any other need citizens may have. Blastia are rare, however, and Bodhi blastia are nearly impossible to get a hold of.
Artes and spells are powered by Bodhi blastia, as said above, and range from healing artes and spells to strike artes and powerful elemental castings. Only seasoned swordsmen and mages are capable of learning artes, and even then it may prove to be quite difficult.

Personality: Yuri is the type of person to tease and annoy others for his own entertainment-at least, that's what one will think if they only know him superficially. If a certain blond comes into play, though, this part of Yuri springs forward again full force. Deep down, Yuri is a compassionate person- if he has something someone wants or needs, he'll give it, and if someone can't afford to hire protection from a guild, he'll offer his own free of charge. However...not all of his decisions are made without consequences. Twice in his life has he had to kill to keep several people safe, and he didn't regret either one. Yuri is ruthless when it comes to dealing with heartless people such as this, regardless of how badly his name will be stained.
History: Yuri grew up in the Lower Quarter of Zaphias with his best friend Flynn Scifo as an orphan and joined the Imperial Knights with him at age 17. After three short months he left due to the death of his captain and other frustrations, and four years later he left to reclaim an aque blastia for the Lower Quarter- which added several other factors along the way, and ultimately led him to saving the Terca Lumerian world.
Skills: Yuri uses a vast amount of Strike Artes and is ambidextrous, however mainly using his left hand for his sword.
Romantic Interest: ....ahem.

Personality: Rita is hot tempered and impatient-and she doesn't try to hide it at all. When she doesn't get her way she tends to use force, and when any kind of blastia is involved in a situation, she inserts herself to protect it at any cost. Rita has a fascination for blastia and is-though to an extent- a genius, one of the best mages in Aspio.
History: Rita grew up in Aspio a social outcast due to her odd behavior and because of this, is not very good with people. She developed a love for blastia while sheltered away in her shack, never coming out of it until a trio of people came storming in and changed her life as she knew it.
Skills: Rita knows several powerful elemental spells and tends to use brute force if angered.

Personality: Jake is a seemingly nonchalant young man as well as a mercenary; so long as he's paid, he'll do anything his buyer wants. After spending a long journey with agent Sherry Birkin he has developed a softer side to his personality, and at times will make deals that involve extremely cheap payment(such as a piece of fruit or a gesture) if the client is poor and in need of protection or assistance. While he is also generous(he refuses to be called kind), he is also a brutal man when angered by the wrong kind of person.
History: Jake was born an illegitimate son to Albert Wesker, the late Umbrella eugenicist and bioterrorist, in Edonia in 1992. His mother was chronically ill, and had they had the proper funding, she could have made a full recovery. However, this was not the case, and when his beloved mother died, his heart hardened and he became a mercenary greedy for the money he no longer desperately needed but still felt a sense of attachment to. In 2012, at age 20, Jake injected himself with the C-Virus upon orders from a client along with his entire squad. The former was the only one unaffected by the virus, all the rest turning into deadly creatures known as J'avo. This was when he met Sherry Birkin, agent sent to collect him in order to obtain his blood for a possible vaccine. At first Jake was quite rude and demanded 50 million dollars up-front for a single pint of his blood, to which Sherry regrettably agreed. However, after spending quite some time being locked up and journeying with Sherry, Jake began to change his views and truly realize that he needed to change his ways-else he'd become a shadow of his cruel, ruthless father. After reaching the very end of their journey, Jake and Sherry parted ways-but not before he changed his asking price to 50 dollars, and a date.
Skills: Jake is well-trained in martial arts, but no longer has the guns he was once widely-equipped with.
Romantic Interest: None in particular. Maybe.
