Riverstorm shuffled his paws and shook his head. "No… I wasn't near the camp. I just got back a moment or two ago.." he admitted sheepishly. He shook out his fur, then sat down. "But, that's not why I followed you. You seem to have something on your mind?" He said, his voice questioning.

She sat down across from her mate and sighed. "I have lots of stuff on my mind, and I'm trying not to go insane about it." She chuckled the last part. "Its just... Greenstar lost a life in the battle, and I'm worried, about two things. The first thing is Sootcloud and Venompaw." She kept her voice low. Glancing around, she continued. "I think they want to hurt me. Remember when we became mates, and I told some cats? Well, when I went to rest in the warriors den, they were there. And when I left, Sootcloud said I was lucky we weren't alone, and Venompaw said I needed to leave the den, and they both said they feel bad for you." She kept her head low. "Riverstorm," She paused "do you love me?" She asked, sadness gleaming in her eyes.

Pineleap noticed Hollypool walk out. He slowly stalked her like a piece of prey. She walked by the stream, and sat down. What is she doing? Pineleap asked himself, staring at her.

Riverstorm's eyes widened at his mate's question. He took a step forward and sat so he was pressed up against Flamewing's side. He intertwined his tail with hers and leaned in, "I love you with all of my being." He whispered. "I will never let them lay a paw on you ever again." He murmured.

Hollypool began to cough. Cough like never before, as rapid as a wave current. "What's happening?!" Pineleap said, leaping out from the tree. "I do-" Her sentence was interrupted by a cough, "I don't know" She said, then began to cough again.

[fowauke]

She purred, and rubbed her head against his cheek. "Thank you." She said softly. "And kits..." She frowned, but didn't take her head away. "I don't know if it's a good idea to have them now..." She sighed. "Maybe... Maybe later?" She asked, looking up at Riverstorm slightly.

Riverstorm nodded. "Whenever you're ready, I'll be ready too." he murmured. "You don't know how hard it is for me right now to keep this serious and not joke around or tease." He added, trying to lighten the mood.

she purred nudging the stray kit closer to her belly with her tail " Im already dreading it in here! " she chuckled teasing, she slowly put her muzzle to his ear " How many more lives do you have left? " she muttered hoping she didnt sound impolite.

Hollypool began to cough more. "We need to go to camp, so Willowleaf can treat you, and find out what happened," Pineleap said, worrying about his sister. "O-okay." She said weakly. He then swayed his tail, very fast. She walked slowly, as Pineleap raced to camp. She kept coughing, and Pineleap would check behind himself to see her. Once he got into camp, he yelled; "We need help! Hollypool needs help!"

She chuckled. "Oh really? That's very considerate of you to keep it serious." She shook her head, laughing. "But really, thank you. You listen to my problems, you help and comfort me, and never seem to complain. I don't know what I'd do without you." She licked his cheek, thankfully.
