i know i'm late for this one, but i really wanted to answer! ^u^
i hope that's okay. o~o
i love writing poetry! most of mine is rather dark, or sometimes sad, but i find something incredibly beautiful about that. grief is one of my favorite expressions, because i feel like it has more meaning to me than happiness. happiness tends to vary from person to person, but sorrow is a pretty constant thing in my experience.
what do you guys think about that? is sadness beautiful, or depressing, or sometimes both?
I feel the same way actually. I, too, like to write poetry, and no matter how cheery the subject matter is, it alway comes off as upset. I think it's beautiful, but at times it can be depressing. It really depends on the context. I think sorrow really is consistent, but what makes one person happy, may just tick another person off.

Sorry, I probably skipped a lot. My computer was lagging and stuff- so yeah sorry about that!!
If I wrote an entire book it would be a lot of like nothing.. "She stared at the wall for hours, analizing the little paint dabbles and minor scratches."
EDIT: shoes I didn't mean to double post!

i'm glad i'm not the only one who thinks that way. while no one wants to be sad, i find something about just...i'm not sure what to say other than beautiful. people tend to show who they really are when they're upset.

What kinds of things to you look for in an action story?
Do you like writing ABOUT someone, or AS someone more? Why?
What is your favorite genre to read?
What is your favorite to write? Why?
Do you like writing about animals? Why or why not?
How do you get detail into your stories without boring parts?
Thank you

What kinds of things to you look for in an action story?
Do you like writing ABOUT someone, or AS someone more? Why?
ABOUT someone because I know it'll sound too cheesy if I give the reader an inside peek into my character's thought process. I think 3rd person perspective is also just more enjoyable to read because it brings the focus away from the character and focuses on the story.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Ummmmmmm. That's hard. Anything without angst, I guess. So I stay away from young adult novels and I do like to read historical fiction.
What is your favorite to write? Why?
That is also hard. I don't even know what to call the genre of the story I'm working on. I like to write macabre. I like to write dark. I like to write insanity.
Do you like writing about animals? Why or why not?
"About" as in, from their perspective? No. The only animal stuff I've liked so far is Brian Jacques's Redwall books, but that was because they all acted like humans. They were bipedal, carried swords, and humans were non-existent. I like humans, man! I related to them so much better!
How do you get detail into your stories without boring parts?
I sneak it in. Example: If I want the reader to know someone has green eyes, I say so during an action: "His green eyes flicked towards her, assessing her with an emerald anger that cut at her heart like an artificial agent of guilt."
Tah dah!

Eheh, I had a descriptive moment xD Wish I had those more often!
Oh wait, I liked Guardians of Gahool as well (until I realized there were too many books in the series for my attention span).
I cannot remember if I've tried to read Warrior Cats before. I'll bet I'd like it now if I would stop being stubborn about it, but I've blacklisted a few books and authors for various petty reasons and Warrior Cats made it on the list of doom. Percy Jackson is on there too.
