bc virus stands for big cat virus
highly intelligent
big jumble of genes [leopard, snow leopard, tiger, lion, cheetah]
2/3 errors sterile
each animal at least 1 mutation caused because of malfunction when breeding all the cat species; in 99% of the cases mutation is replaced by metal/ a machine
in some rare cases [1/150-500] genes of completely different species get mixed within. those very rare errors are incredibly intelligent, often have more than 2 or 3 metal/machine replacements and are always completely sterile

all have a nickname given to them by adopter
names can be used as often as you like as each error has a unique number/ code that represents them
size can vary between cheetah and tiger; some may be smaller or bigger [no incredible changes though]
errors mate for life; not only with their own species, though. errors mating with other species are common and completely normal
