Scarletflare looks at him. "Let's get to our nest."

Grayfeather nodded and bounded on.

"Have you tried?" He repeated.

"No.", she mews.

Scarletflare bounds after him.

Grayfeather turned and smiled at her.

"Maybe you should."

"I wouldn't be able to bear it."

Scarletflare sees him look back. She smiles back. Does he care? Of course! He is my best friend!

Grayfeather yawned again as they entered camp.

"I'll stand beside you," he offered.

Scarletflare pads beside him. "Mrrrow.", she mews, nodding to the freshkill pile.

"That'd be nice.", She says her head low.

"Now or later?"

Grayfetaher contemplated eating before he slept.

"now.", the Shecat mews, heading to camp.


Cheetahblaze lay in the clearing.


Scarletflare curls in her nest. She blinks softly at Grayfeather before resting.
