Scarletpaw trudged away, biting her tongue as Swiftbreeze called after her. Sure, Scarletpaw was stubborn. But she wouldn't admit to it. Especially not to Swiftbreeze. The apprentice closed her eyes for a moment, and drank Ia deepp breath. She could smell Ashfire's scent next to her. The wind rattled in the trees. In fact, she could hear some prey scuffling around. Scarletpaw opened her eyes, which were now cleared of anger, and focused on hunting.

Ashfire glared at Swiftbreeze before she scurried away, Scarletpaw was his apprentice. The she-cat had no right to scold her as much as she had been. When she'd gone the tom hurried himself to Scarletpaw's side, their pelts brushing together when he got too close. Slowing he listened to the noises around him in search of what prey may be active.

(That's not how it works. A med cat apprentice is given their full name later on, when they've learned everything possible. Then, they will still be the rank of an apprentice until their mentor retires or dies. So, Hazelpaw is receiving her full name soon.
Ex: Jayfeather starts off as Jaypaw, but then is given his full name later when he has learned all possible skills.)

Scarletpaw glanced at Ashfire, not minding his closeness. Her angry eyes brightened a bit before she turned back to hunting. Soon, she sighed a dove. It was not too skinny, as it had seemed to be eating the seeds and berries in the forest. Scarletpaw flicked her tail to signal to Ashfire that she'd be back. Scarletpaw moved downwind of the dove before crawling forward, and then she pounced.
