Did someone come in late last night? Not that it's too uncommon, seeing as this is a group of cats, but it's worth asking.

'Did someone have a scratch?' Rookpaw asked, a little excited. 'Cause...you know, I saw some, ugh, sharp thorns on the way and they could've been...hard to see' she made a quick excuse.

"Did someone have a, uh..." You shuffle a little. "A scratch of some kind? Or did they go in to see Divercloud?"

You turn your head to look down, and you can see Applefoot's face, though it's small from the height you're at. Her eyes are clearly narrowed.

"...I don't know," she says slowly. "Maybe someone did, but I didn't pay much attention. Why?"

"Oh, just...just wondering." you turn your attention back to the branches. "Can I come down now?"

"Sure."

You make your way down the tree, thinking. You'll have to investigate yourself, then. It'll seem odd if you go around asking everyone, and it may tip off whoever went after you. You need to be careful about it.

By the time you're out of the tree, you've come up with an idea, and put on your best tired face. "How'd I do?"

Applefoot is a natural stoic, but you can see the faintest glimmers of concern in her eyes. "You alright, kid? You've been out of it all morning."

"Oh, yeah, well..." You just lower your head a little. "I'm just...tired, I guess."

There's a pause before Applefoot asks awkwardly, "Do you need to talk about it, or...?"

You shake your head, then look up at her, pitifully. "Can I go walk around today? I don't really feel like doing much."

"...Sure." Applefoot looks happy to get out of this situation, and steps back. "I'll be in camp if you need me...or, whatever."

You wait until she's gone from your eyes and ears before turning around and trotting away. Onto business, then. What should you do first? You can find Thistlenose, and discuss any plans or ideas, try to find someone with a scratch, investigate upriver, or look for the herbs that disguised your attacker yesterday.
