Short Story;;
I look around at the trees, bare and slient, the ground, covered with covered with the fluffy whiteness of snow. It was cold. My home was now barren.
This was my first Winter alone.
The snow had came early that year, I was young. I had no one to tell me what to do. At first I did what all did at my age... Play. It was fun for the first two days, but then the cold got to me and I was hungry. It dawned on me that this snow was not meant to be fun, it was meant to test the strong, and I.. Was not. I didn't know what to do at first, but something told me to go south. I ignored the urges, and tried to find food, I caught a few things, but still very little. One day while I was struggling find food, I saw a few of my kind flying over head. I called out. When they landed, I asked "Where you going?" An older foxer was standing amid the group, "We're going south, it's warmer down there." He replied, I asked if I could join, and he said yes.
I flew close behind the group. I was slightly younger than most of them, and it showed. I would get farther and farther behind, but the older foxer would always help me along. Sometimes, he would let me ride on his back if I grew too tired to fly, I never learned why he took care of me that entire journey but I know one thing, he did it because he wanted to.
We had flown for a few days before it got noticeably warmer. One day, with our bellies full, we all slept in a burrow that the group had made. As I slept something have happened, because when I woke up he was gone. When the group was leaving I stayed behind to find him. I assume something happened to him because I never saw him again.

Extra One;; Background/personality: Joseph got his name from the Bible story of Joseph and his coat of many colors. Joseph's favorite foods are blackberries and strawberries. He is very loving, kind, caring, adventurous, and courageous. He loves to play outside and gets really excited anytime there is a rainbow. He can be quite mischievous even when he doesn’t realize it.
Family life: Joseph’s mother’s name is Annie and his father’s name Lucas. He has one brother, Brayden, and a sister, Sydney. Sometimes they have arguments but they love each other anyway. His family has always lived in the same house ever since he can remember. He remembers when his baby sister was born when he was really young and he remembers the first time he saw snow. His family lives in a quiet little area of the woods next to a huge oak tree. A couple yards away there is a small clearing that Joseph loves to play in. Sometimes Joseph will play in the mud there and his mom will almost have a heart attack when he walks in all dirty. He always cleans up real fast for supper though!
