Longwhisker side and touched his tail to his sister's flank. "Would...would you want to go with him?" he asked in a voice that was barely more than a whisper.

Snowstep shook her head, "No," she meowed, "This is my home, and you're the only family i have."

Longwhisker felt a surge of relief wash over him when he heard those words. "And Mum and Dad and our little brothers and sister," he added with a purr that got half-caught in his throat upon saying, "little brothers and sisters." He quickly cleared his throat and meowed, "B-but, yeah, I understand. I would be sad if you left." He licked her cheek.

Timberfoot flicked his tail. "Well, let's go then." He made his way to the training field.

"But he hasn't left the forest yet," Longwhisker pointed out. "Don't you want to at least get to know him better before he does leave?"

Crekara appeared behind Brindlepaw. "Stop your petty quarreling," he spat at the cats. "Brindle, Nigel, go back to Salazar's. Azula, stay out of our way." And with that, he pushed past them and led the small patrol of cats to the AshClan border, which he marked with his own scent.

Karok trotted after Crekara at a brisk pace. "Oh, isn't this so much fun, Drail?" she asked the tod in an amused voice.

Brindle and Azula weren't with them. I don't know where Nigel came from.)

Drail shrugged. "I have told you before that I do not believe in 'fun'."

Azrael stood a bit behind Crekara but she slightly smirked.

Birchfall smiled, playfully licking his sister's nose.

Nigel was snaking through the bushes aside Crekara's patrol, he caught sight of Brindle and Azula and went to see what was going on}}
