After Luka left reluctantly, Quinn was a bit relieved that he wouldn't have to deal with a rambling boy trying to cover up their cuddling. On the other hand, being stuck with a furious father all alone wasn't all too great, either. As the other boy scampered away, the next minute or two consisted of cooling silence filled with Quinn's gaze locked on his feet guiltily and Mr. Miles with his arms crossed, staring down at the sick kid as if pondering his punishment. The man finally explained that he'd come home to pick up some paperwork needed for the office, and found it a bit weird that a strangers car was parked in his driveway. The sight of another teenager under his roof was said to be quite startling, too. As Quinn opened his mouth to answer, his dad just held up a hand to stop him. He then explained that the discussion would be tomorrow, and for now he should just get some rest and think about what had just happened.
It was now about 12:00 at night, and Quinn was dozing off. His father had gone back to work and returned in the evening, tracking down Mrs. Miles and sharing the news with her, too. Quinnely had heard them through the door from all the way downstairs, since the two had been raising their voices while sharing their opinions to each other. The only positive thing about the events recently was that the boy was starting to feel much better. His stomach ceased its constant ache and his dizziness faded. He was still quite tired and his temperature altered as it pleased, but his body seemed to finally be allowing peaceful slumber.
His nap was drawn to a close as a light tapping came from his window. Quinn was laying on his belly with his head resting on his folded arms, brown hair still mussed up from Lulu's trip over. He'd pulled on a shirt and turned on the fan, along with a lamp in the corner of the room that set a sleepy glow across his living space. Sea colored eyes slowly fluttered open, focusing on the source of the sound. The poor boy's heart leaped in his chest as a figure was outlined against the trees of his window, a person sitting on his roof, waiting. And despite his priorly sleeping mind, he quickly perceived that only one human would be mad enough to climb onto his house and wake him by gently and kindly knocking on the glass at midnight. 'jesus Christ, Luka.' he thought as a dimpled smirk tugged on his lips. Quinn closed his eyes for a few moments before rolling out of bed to greet his rebellious buddy. This genius had been caught sneaking into a house once today, did he really care enough to risk it again? The thought of his crazy friend caring enough to come visit in the middle of the night made his smile stay.
Quinnely stood up and stepped over to the window, unlocking it and pulling the pane up all the way so that Luka could come in if he pleased. The boy kneeled down and rested his elbows on the window sill, placing his head in his hands as he sat face-to-face with his buddy. "how'd you get up here?" Quinn asked, tilting his head as that goofy grin still dominated his face.
