{A small, white envelope slides through your mail slot. Attached to it is a red-and-green paper rose; the folds of it indicate that it is an origami model. Upon opening the envelope, you find a matching white note. The handwriting adorned on it is of red ink, and the script is rushed but loopy cursive.}

(At work. I couldn't wait to reply to you, so I am writing this in-between my shifts.)

Ringo (because it was obvious that you sent that letter),

Where do I start?

When I met you, I could tell from the moment I laid eyes on you that you were different. Your gait, the way you nervously fiddled with your fingers when we first exchanged words, all of it. Sure, I was nervous for a majority of the date, but I was just scared; my previous dates had turned out to be absolute disasters, the lot of them, and I just wasn't sure how that one was going to play out. As it went on, though, I found that you were so undeniably sweet, caring, and quite the gentleman. Don't think I didn't mean what I said after The Incident. Speaking of, you have no idea how I felt during that little ordeal. Not disgusted or embarrassed, as you probably thought. I felt so deeply touched, in all actuality.

Which brings me to this. Ringo, to tell you the absolute truth, I can't stop thinking about you. I know this sounds mushy, but you, too, have made away with my heart. Every time I see you, my heart flutters, and when you're away, it aches. I've never had this feeling before, not even when I was in my first serious relationship. Which reminds me - don't you worry about my past. I know that I've been with others before, but trust me when I say that nothing I felt while I was with any of them holds a candle to this.

I know, I am not the best with these romantic things, but hear me out. I am aware that we have only been on one date thus far, but that's all it took for me to fall for you.

And, Ringo, I love you, too.
